Jax POV

I've been drowning my sorrows for a few hours now. It's not the smartest thing to do in the world but it's all I can do right now. Ellie would already be on a plane by now and out of my life. I really can be such a dick sometimes. Tara has tried calling me a few times but I'm just not interested in anything she has to say.

My ma has also rang me, I just don't want to talk to anyone. I'm just about to get my second bottle of whiskey when I hear pounding on my door.
I walk over and open the door
"What?"
My ma is standing there crying
"What's wrong?"
"Ellie and Ava were in a car accident on the way to the airport. I've been trying to call you"
"Shit! Are they okay?"

She shakes her head and starts crying harder. I grab my kutte and we race to the hospital. All I can do is hope and pray that everything will be okay.
As I get there I see tara at the desk, she sees me and walks over to me.
"I've been trying to call you"
"Not now tara. How are Ellie and Ava?"
"Ellie is in surgery, she has internal bleeding and a punctured lung. They are doing all they can. Ava is in here" she points to a side room
"She had a pretty nasty knock to the head, she has been placed in a medically induced coma. Doctors are worried about the swelling on her brain, they don't want to operate just yet they want to give her time for her body to repair"

"But there both going to be okay right?"
"I don't know Jax. I can take you to see Ava if you wish"
I nod and she leads me into the room. I look at the bed and there is my little princess hooked up to machine, needles in her arms and oxygen up her nose. She is covered in bruises and cuts. I walk over to the chair and sit down next to her. Taking her hand in mine, i bring it to my lips.

"Hey princess, you gotta get better okay. And wake up and show me those beautiful brown eyes. Abel needs his sister okay"
I feel tears roll down my cheek.
"I'll leave you to it" tara says before heading out of the room.
"Ava please, you have to wake up okay. I need you. I need your mum. You both have to be okay"

I sit there for a few hours, listening to the machines. Tara comes in a few hours later and let's me know Ellie is out of surgery and that I can see her shortly. I nod and she gives me the room number of where Ellie will be.
I kiss Ava on the head and tell her I love her.

I walk into Ellie's room, she is in pretty bad shape. Again hooked up to machines and covered in cuts. I kiss her head and hold her hand
"Hey baby. God Ellie I'm so sorry. Please you have to wake up. I need you. Please"
I start to sob, I can't believe this has happened. If I hadn't of done what I did, Ellie wouldn't have left and she wouldn't have been in that car. This is all my fault.

Tara comes in and tells me the police wish to talk to me. I go out and Unser and Hale are standing there waiting for me.
"How are they?"
"Not good. Who did this?"
"The truck that hit them was registered to a Joshua Peters. He ran the minute he hit her. Was this a hit Jax?"
"Joshua Peters?"
He nods "that son of bitch"
"What?"

"He raped Ellie when she was 16. He is Ava's father. We roughed him up and told him to leave charming. This must have been his way to retaliate. I'm going to kill him"
"No your not Jax. You leave this to us"
I nod and they leave.
"What did they say?"
"Tara please just leave me alone okay"

I walk back into Ellie's room and sit with her for a while. My mum is with Ava. The whole clubhouse has been in and out of the hospital. I know a lot of them have been to see Ava. I need to talk to them all. This Joshua is going to pay for what he has done. He is going to die. And it will be me who kills him.
