Zoe, being sort of a gossip girl, led me to where Erica stood, casting both an icy and stony glare towards Zoe, who was slightly backing away from her gaze.
"Erica," Zoe began, "I present to you, Benjamin Ripley."
"So, what?" I asked, my eye twitching slightly in anger.
"Look, Ben," Erica began.
"You don't deserve to call me Ben. That's only for people who actually care about me." I growled.
"Okay, Benjamin. I'm... sorry. I know, falling for Ajax wasn't a good idea, and it was just unlike me to immediately start fluttering my eyelashes at him. That's childish. "
I rolled my eyes, "Okay, Ice Queen. " I was still ticked off by what had happened with Ajax, but I know that middle school wouldn't be what it is today without drama. For a split second, I thought about forgiving Erica, but shook my head in denial.
"Can you please forgive me? Please, Ben." Erica was pleading, which was unlike her.
I sighed loudly, and sate down on the nearest bench. "After what you did, it's really hard to forgive at this point. Like you stabbed a sword into me, and kept digging it into my heart."
"I promise, it won't happen again. Just this once, can you forgive me? I know that what I did was very stupid, and I know I broke your heart. I'm sorry."
"Okay, fine. But we get to beat up Ajax." I had had enough of this drama, so I just took my chance, and accepted her apology like it was easy or something.
"Thank you, Ben." Erica ran into my arms and kissed me.
When she finally pulled away, which was like two minutes later, I laughed as I looked at Zoe's cringe. "Look, you can do this," I pointed between me and Erica, "with Mike if you want."
"Oh my god, no." Zoe rolled her eyes and flushed a dark red.
"Okay, let's go teach Ajax a lesson." Erica smiled her perfect smiled, and held my hand all the way to the next period.
*TIME SKIP CUZ I LITERALLY AM NOT GONNA HAVE ERICA AND BEN GO THROUGH SOCIAL STUDIES AND BORE THE HECK OUTTA YOU GUYS😂😂😂 *
Before lunch, I had told Erica to act like she was still in a relationship with Ajax. Reluctantly, she agreed, and began walking across the pavement, to where she and Ajax usually met.
"I guess the problem between you lovebirds is solved." Mike ran up beside me, a huge grin played across his face.
"Guess so," I shrugged, and walked over to where Mike, Zoe, and I usually sat for lunch.
Lunch lasted until 1:25, and right now was about 12:50. I had told Erica that I would walk over at about 12:55.
"I've got five minutes. Do you wanna text Jawa and them?" I asked as Mike and Zoe pulled out their phones.
"Bet," Mike opened his messages.
*Jawa, Chip, Mike, Zoe, Ben, Cyrus, Catherine, Alexander, Erica, and Jessica*
Ben: Hey guys! 😄
Erica: You know you only have five minutes, right? 😏😉
Ben: Yeah, I know. But I gotta say hi to my homies first, yk yk?
Erica: Okay, fine. I can hold Ajax off, for a few extra minutes, just because I love you so much💖🥰😘😊
Mike: Hey Jawa! Hey Chip!
Jawa: What's good?
Chip: Wassup mike?
Zoe: LOL I just remembered that we aren't allowed to have our phones out.
Mike: 🤷♂️ Eh, I break the rules all time LMAO
Catherine: Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
Cyrus: What do you want? I was doing work. 🙄
Ben: OMG CYRUS USED AN EMOJI!!!
Mike: OMG UR RIGHT LMFAO!!!
Catherine: Language, Michael.
Mike: Sorry.
Jessica: Haha srry 4 the late reply. Mom was making me wash the dishes.
Erica: Ben? Do you have Jessica's number?
Ben: Oh yeah, I got her number while we were in Vail.
Erica: Alright. Also, hurry up, Ben! I can't stall for much longer. Ajax went from talking about me to giraffes with short necks. C'mon!
Jawa: Who's this Ajax guy?
Chip: Ya who is that?
Ben: I'll explain later. See ya guys later!
Jawa: Bye, love you homie!!!!
Chip: ly2!!!
*Erica, Ben, Zoe, and Mike, have left the chat*
I approached Ajax slowly, and made sure not to draw any attention to myself.
Erica saw me quickly, and gave me a slight nod. I nodded in return, and crept up behind Ajax.
Ajax turned around, and regretted it. I uppercut his chin, causing him to tumble to the ground. His lip bled badly, but he stood up, disgusted.
"This is what you get for trying to steal my girlfriend," I growled, and charged.
Just as I was about to reach him, I ducked under his punch, and grabbed his legs, flipping him over, WWE style. Ajax writhed in pain as he struggled to get up. By then, a huge crowd had gathered around us, cheering my name.
"Ben! Ben! Ben!" They cheered.
"I'm sorry, Ajax." I acted like I was guilty about what I had just done.
I held my hand out for him to shake, and he shook it violently. Just as he was about to let go, I pulled him closer to me (And Jay, don't even think about it), and judo flipped him behind me.
There was a ear splintering crack that broke out when Ajax hit the ground.
He moaned in pain (again, NO JAY), and rasped, "*censored* you, Ben! *censored* your stupid little *censored**censored**censored**censored**censored**censored* and you don't *censored* deserve Erica!" (Yes, I am a clean man B))
A cheer rang out, but quickly fell silent as Mr. Strimmer, the vice principal, pushed through the crowd, to the front.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE?! BENJAMIN RIPLEY, YOU ARE-" Mr. Strimmer screamed.
"So sorry, Mr. Strimmer," Erica gave me a wink only I could see, "Ben is my boyfriend, and Ajax got jealous when I hugged him, so he tried to beat Ben up."
Erica kissed me for proof. After she pulled away, which was pretty short after, I glanced over at Mike and Zoe, who were gaping in awe. Zoe looked like she was about to pass out in surprise, and Mike was wolfishly grinning. I blushed, seeing as literally everyone in my school was watching.
"I was trying to defend her," I added.
"Okay, I'll let you slide," Mr. Strimmer sighed. "I need a few people to help carry Ajax into the office."
A few minutes later, after the crowd had departed, Erica ran up to me and hugged me tightly.
"Thanks for the improvising," I kissed the top of her head.
"No problem," She rested her head on my chest.
Just like that, everything was back to normal. Until the Croatian found out where we were.
