Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

We drove for about half an hour in silence before Jake spoke up.  

"Your such a bitch you know that right?"

"Hello to you to brother" I rolled my eyes I had heard this so many times.

"Don’t start with that attitude on me Ambreh" He spoke.

"Oh whatever" I sighed under my breath as we turned off the highway and rounded a street corner. We were now in Los Angles and heading for his mates house. The rest of the ride went on with me and Jake firing insults at each other. when the car finally stopped Jake got out not bothering to wait for me, I quickly followed Jake to the front door of a house which I presumed to be his mates.

Jake knocked on the door and waited for its owner to let us in. The door opened revelling a guy who looked about 26 years of age with black hair shorter than Jakes.

"Dude! look who finally decided to show their face!" He exclaimed giving Jake a bro hug.

"I would've been hear sooner if I didn’t have to make a trip to pick up her" He pointed to me, the other dude looked at me and smiled.

"Oh, hey I'm Jinxx who are you?" the other dude now known to me as Jinxx asked me.

"Ambreh Pitts" I smiled, he seemed like a nice dude I could get on with him. He extended his hand for me to shake I took it smiling.

"Jake I didn’t know you had a sister" Jinxx spoke walking back with us into his house where more people were sat waiting for Jake in Jinxx's living room.

"Yeah, Jake doesn’t tell you guys a lot of things" I piped in before Jake could answer. I saw Jake's jaw clench as he went to sit next to a black haired girl, boy was she pretty.

"Okay, well this is Andy" Jinxx said pointing to a guy sitting in the corner cigarette in his mouth. "And next to him is his girlfriend Juliet" I nodded "Then there's CC and Lauren his girlfriend" He pointed to a couple sitting on the same couch as Jake, CC had skinny legs and was wearing ripped skinny jeans which were held up by a studded belt. "Then we have Ella Jake's fiancé and Sammi my beautiful wife" He said pointing to a girl with lavender coloured hair and black haired beauty. "And finally Ashley" Jinxx pointed to a dude with shoulder length black hair he was sat in the chair next to where I was standing, he winked at me oh boy.

"Watch him he's a bit of a pervert" Jinxx whispered in my ear.

"I am not a pervert, its just when I see a pretty girl I like to complement her, get to know her-"

"And sleep with her" Andy butted in making everyone except me and Ashley laugh.  

"Tell us about yourself" Lauren asked quizzingly.

"Not really that much to tell… Names Ambreh Pitts I'm 21 years old I really wanted to get into working with hair and beauty but I got kicked out of collage" I shrugged.

"Boyfriends? Friends?" Sammi asked.

"No boyfriends since I was in the 10th grade… no friends" I said slowly  

"Why'd ya get kicked out of collage?" Juliet asked.

"I was caught with alcohol on premises"

Ashley laughed "Party animal" Then he turned to Jake "Why didn’t you tell us you sister was a riot?"

"She's not a 'riot' Ashley" He scowled at me.

"Don’t like that im getting on with your friends?" I smirked.

"No. " his tone was becoming harsher by the second.

"Oh my god I've just realized something, your talking to me face to face" I said in mock horror, Jake's jaw clenched again just then Ella stepped in.

"C'mon Jake she's your sister, no need to be arguing with her im looking forward to getting to know her" She smiled at me, boy she was nice too how the hell had Jake managed to get her?

"I'm looking forward to getting to know you too" Jake rolled his eyes.

"Look if you don’t want her to live with you guys for now she can stay at mine" Ashley suggested.

"Whatever" Jake mumbled.

"Are you trying to get her raped?!" Lauren cried.

I looked from Jake to Ashley who would I rather live with not a very hard decision "Look guys I don’t mind where I live or who I live with as long as I have food drink and a bed"

"Well then you can live with Ash then" Jake sighed.

"I'm going outside to get some air come get me when your ready" I said to Ashley who nodded

"Nice to meet you guys see you again soon" I said before shutting the door and sitting on the front porch I sighed and closed my eyes falling into a dream.

"WHY THE FUCK DID I EVEN MARRY YOU!" Dad yelled at mom, they were downstairs in the kitchen arguing again. I was silently crying as Jake held my quivering form tightly, I could tell he was crying too.

"I DON’T THINK THAT YOU REALIZE THAT WE HAVE CHILDREN WHO WANT A NORMAL CHILDHOOD WITH A HAPPY FAMILY WITHOUT ALL THE AGUMENTS" Mom screamed back.

"Why wont they stop Jake?" I whispered I felt Jake run his hand through my hair, something that calmed me down.

"They'll stop I promise"

I opened my eyes and shook my head, I looked round and saw Ashley looking at me.

"How long was I asleep?"

"Not long, you ready to go?" He asked I nodded picking up my bags which he had brought out with him. He lead me to his car which was parked on the street. I loaded my stuff into the back and we drove in silence until Ashley began to talk.

"Why didn’t Jake tell us about you?"

"I dunno, we haven't spoken since I was like 14 since then I've wanted nothing to do with him I guess he wanted the same with me"

"Shame you do sound pretty amazing, you look amazing too"

"Thanks" I didn’t know any other way to respond to a comment like that was he flirting or? We pulled up to a small apartment complex.

"Here we are" He smiled shutting of the engine. "Do you want me to grab your bags?"

"Nope its alright, thanks though" I smiled a small smile before getting out of the car grabbing my bags and following Ashley up to his apartment.
