The room was a white color that surrounded us. Then again, there was a rainbow in this very same room that also surrounded us. Red blinked at us as the camera watched our every move. But at least this room wasn't empty. In fact there were many things in this room, like: Chairs and tables, couches, shelves with games in it. Not to mention, another rainbow on the floor in the center of the room. The painted rainbows were really the only vibrant colors in this entire room- entire place. It's okay though, it's not so bad after some time. Out of all my siblings, I'm the oldest. But that also doesn't really matter.
I picked up the large, red chip and looked over to Eleven. To me, she really did feel like my younger sister- even if none of us were actually blood related. That also didn't matter because to me, she's something I would always protect. "Eleven, remember to stay calm even if you don't get it right away. Don't ever let your frustration make you quit." I remind her. She simply nods and takes back the chip to let it fall down on the large board. Once again, she didn't make it into slot 6 but instead in slot 1.
A hand was felt placed onto my shoulder so I looked up to see who it was. A blonde man with sweet features and an all white outfit- except for his black boots- smiled down upon us. Lately he's been talking to us more and even seems to frequently have his eyes on us. "At it again I see." He made a place to sit down, in between us. I was on his right while eleven was on his left. He also grabbed onto the red chip and held it almost like a teacup. "You're a persistent one aren't you?" He smiled gently. Eleven just shrugged, not sure what to say. He turned to me, "And you're also president on helping her." The man says, "In a way, you both remind me of someone who used to sit on the very spot you sit in. You wanna guess who it was?" He placed the piece onto the board on slot #1
We both gasped in disbelief. "But Papa said that-" Eleven was interrupted by the blonde man.
"That he doesn't exist? I know." He glanced up to the working camera which made us take a quick look too. "But can I tell you both a secret? Just know that sometimes, Papa doesn't tell the truth. I spent years with One, of course that story's for another day. I'm afraid it doesn't have a happy ending. Like you- mainly eleven, things came very hard for him. Then out of nowhere, he walked in here and it was like something about changed. He had told me he figured things out. His past made him stronger, something that made him sad but also angry. Do you have a memory like that?" He looked specifically at eleven. He went on to tell eleven that the women who came to visit her was actually her mother.
"No, she died!" Eleven didnt seem to believe it. "Who exactly told you that?" The man asks. "Papa!...who doesn't always tell the truth."
"This place...and the people here...aren't what you think." He says before the door opened and papa came in. We all stood up and everyone else formed two lines in front of the door. I looked up at the man with worry. He gave me a reassuring look and signaled for me to go in line as if everything was normal. So that's what I did.
"Good morning. I've got something special planned for you all today. Seventeen, may you please open the door?" Papa announced. Seventeen did as told and opened the door for us all to which we all went though. Going through the hallways, we went into a black room with lighting to not make this place look so boring and dead.
Papa bent down and drew a circle onto the floor, "Rules for this are simple. Stay in your circle," he went to the other side as he passed us- who were lined up against the wall, "If you leave your circle, you lose. Last person standing on your circle will get to spend an extra hour of free time in the rainbow room." He bent down again and drew another circle. "Even though we are going to be competing against another... Seven."
I walked out from the line of kids and got into my circle as I bit my lip from all nervousness going on throughout me.
"Six. I don't want you to approach this any different then our other test. Now this is very important, if you allow anger or any emotion to invade your thoughts...you will fail. I can guarantee that." Papa states as the blonde man from before goes behind me to tie the white blindfold around my eyes.
He whispered something only I could hear, "Don't be nervous, you'll do amazing." I know I barely just began talking to him not too long ago but I feel...safe with him and my nerves slowly faded away.
"Begin." Papa says before I stood my ground and titled my head to the right. I felt this great force being thrown to him, I could even hear his bare feet slipping back. Even if not all of us got along great, I couldn't bare the thought of hurting any of my siblings.
Because of that, I didn't try as much to push him out his circle. Now it felt like an equal amount of forces balanced each other. Even if I didn't want to hurt him, I didn't want to seem weak and incapable to papa. Suddenly, I felt my body being pushed back so I rose my hand and titled my head again which made him fly back into the wall.
Hearing his body thud from the thick glass onto the floor, I took off my blindfold. "Are you okay?" I was about to step out from my circle until Papa stopped me.
"He's fine. Obviously he could have some improvements though." Papa looked at Six with some disappointment written on his face. "Two, step up. Peter, would you tie Sevens blindfold?"
The blonde man nodded and walked over to me. "Good luck." He whispered before leaving back to his original post.
I stood my ground once again and held out my hand in front of me. Two was a strong opponent but I still knew not to overdo it, not like I did with Six.
Putting my mind to work, I could feel everyone's presence but only focused on Twos. He had already been using his full power on me, I could tell but it wasn't enough. I was about to simply take him out from his circle but I knew what him and his friends were capable of. If I won this, he would go after Eleven. I also knew that he would find the opportunity to go after her when she's alone. Last time something like this happened, Eleven came to me with a few bruises and I felt guilty that it happened to her. Thinking back to that made me lower my guard and all of a sudden my back furiously hit against the wall and fell pathetically on the floor.
My head throbbed after that but I still got up as I take off my blindfold. This headache was different than any that I had. My pain was on another level that any noise I heard made me-unimaginably angry and annoyed.
Two decided to make a "funny" comment. "Don't try me next time, weakling."
My eyes snapped on him. The anger rushed throughout me. Everything in me was done so I had used my powers to tighten much harder around his head. Two was now screaming in pain while trying to take off the blindfold.
"Seven, stop this now!" Papa says as he rushes over to me but I held my hand out and sent him flying over to the door. Seeing this, Peter and the other assistant came up to me quickly.
Peter had this look on his face that didn't have a single frightened thought. While on the other hand, the assignment looked scared out of his mind but still ran over to me. I was about to throw them back until the assignment quickly pulled out a syringe and stuck the needle in my arm making me dazy.
Last thing I heard before completely passing out was. "Go take her to the nurse for an inspection."
"Yes."
