There he was, looking like a runway model. It was Saturday afternoon and my mission has officially began.
The sunlight from the store's windows illuminated his features, and made his ebony skin glisten like a glazed chocolate donut. Speaking of donuts, I should go get one. And no, my sudden craving for a donut isn't because Duronie himself happened to be buying one at the little coffee shop at the corner of our street, it's because I'm a normal girl who really likes donuts.
Anyways, I checked my hair in the reflection of the coffee shop's glass and it was looking as fabulous as ever. My crazy curls has been slight tamed with a floral headband I got from Arianne and my outfit was simple but cute. I had on some black leggings and a long checkered print shirt.
The shop was small but it had a warm inviting feel to it. Its warm earth colors and comfy leather chairs all made it the most popular hang out spot in town. It was packed with teens from my school and a few old timers who insisted on staying to drink coffee but complained about all the noise the kids were making.
My palms started to sweat. All this socialization was nerve racking. I felt pressured to be apart of the crowd and act 'cool', I hated it. Most of the people inside turned to look at me, scoping out the fresh meat and when they realized it was the weird girl they all returned to gossiping and fooling around.
My nerves began to ease when his eyes locked with mine. I hurriedly made my way over to him with a big smile on my face. I only saw him, none of the eyes staring at me mattered but his.
"Hey" I said still grinning like a maniac.
"Hey pickle," then I noticed something I didn't notice before, he looked slightly uncomfortable to see me. "uh, what you doing here? I thought you said you hated this place."
His eyes flashed away from me and my smile slowly subsided as I saw what he looked at. Her.
She was here, with him, on a date.
"I-I just thought I'd try something new y'know. Eat a d-donut or s-something" I stammered.
I had never seen her in person before, and all I can say was her pictures did her no justice. She was actually quite pretty , the make-up suited her. She had a warm inviting smile tho her huge breasts was quite a distraction as they were basically popping out of her shirt. She had this aura about her, it was confidence, something I lacked and something she had by the truckload. It was radiating off of her, and I felt intimidated to be in her presence.
"Oh yeah, the donuts are great. The chocolate one is my favorite." she said.
"Oh, by the way ,I'm Shemikia, I don't think we've ever met."Duronie looked as if he wanted to curl up in a ball and hide under the table, and I felt as if I wanted to join him there.
Why was he so uncomfortable with us talking? Is it because he liked me and he doesn't want me to meet the one he loves?
"I'm pickle, Duronie's best friend."
She looked at him with a puzzled look on her face."You never told me you had best friend."
He scratched the back of his neck, his little sign of showing that he's nervous.
"Well I didn't think you wanted to know about her." He looked down at his feet then back up at her, another sign that he's nervous. She turned back to face me.
"Well, where are my manners? Please, join us." she slid over in the booth and patted the space next to her.
"Are you sure?" I said while taking the seat. "I don't want to interrupt you guys." I lied, I do want to interrupt. I want to interrupt their whole relationship.
"No, no, it's fine really. So, tell me about yourself, and start with that interesting name of yours."
And so we sat, talked, laughed, and ate donuts while Duronie sat by himself looking the most uncomfortable I've ever seen him.
That day I learned that I was a hell of a good actress. I sat and smiled with the person I envied the most and the person whose life I was about to destroy. For a moment I felt a bit guilty, then I looked over to Duronie and he gave me that irresistible grin that caused all my guilt to vanish. At that moment I knew I'd do anything for him to be mine, even if it meant breaking the heart of this sweet girl beside me.

Later that evening, Arianne came over my house to study for a chem test we had coming up.Arianne was sprawled out on my bed while I was chilling on my pink fluffy bean bag chair.
The new drake album was blaring in our ears, causing everything in my room to vibrate and study papers and cards littered the floor around us. That was the only way we could study; with music turned up to full volume and the place being a mess. Chaos is where we find peace.
"I think I hear your mom pulling up!" Arianne screamed on the top of her lungs trying to be heard over the music.
I quickly got up and turned off the music, mom hates loud noises so she'd get pretty pissed if she heard all the racket.I could hear mom's heels coming up the stairs, she opened the door a crack and peeped inside.
"I hope you girls are studying hard and not wasting time up here."
My mom was always extremely strict when it comes on to my education and as a result I'm the biggest nerd you could ever find. I was on the honor roll, and first in every class.
"Yes mom, don't worry."
"Ok good." she turned to leave. But before she could leave I shouted out for her to make some sandwiches for us. She grumbled in reply and made her way towards the kitchen.
"Sweet. Your mom's food is the best." Arianne hoped down off the bed and plopped her self right beside me on my over sized bean bag chair.
"Soooo how's your plan going so far?"
I told her all about what happened earlier and she sat in silence in rapt attention."So what's the next step in the mission?" She asked after I finally finished.
"The next step is where you, my friend, come in." I had a sneaky smile on my face cause I knew what I had in store was brilliant.
