Perfect. Perfect in every way. who knew the back of someone's head could be so interesting? His hair looked effortlessly done, shiny and full of life. His crazy curls were high at the top and low at the sides, a style that almost all the boys in my school were wearing. Duronie was never one for being original. He preferred to be apart of the crowd. One of his few flaws.
But that's true love isn't it? Loving someone despite of their flaws. and right now what I was staring at was absolute perfection.
BANG
I was lifted out of my day dreaming by the sudden noise at the back of the class. I twisted around only to see the boy two seats behind me sprawled out on the ground. The whole class erupted into laughter. I felt a surge of anger, kids at my school were so mean.
The look on his face was a look of pure embarrassment. His light brown cheeks flushed with effort as he tried to pull himself back up, only to end up running on the spot like in the cartoons then falling back on the floor. The class howled with laughter. This one dude was even one the floor rolling. Extra much?
Our fragile, old English teacher Mr. Longnie tried his best to control the class by using detention as a threat but the class only responded with even more raucous behavior.
I took a deep breath, stood up, and walked over to the boy helping him up slowly. Then I saw what was making him slip, the glossy shine of baby oil could be seen on the ground around his chair. I shook my head and helped him out of the goo. It was obvious that one of the obnoxious jocks had played a mean prank on him for no reason.
I held his hand and lead him out of the class with his head held down in Shame the whole way.
Once we were safely out in the hallway, he finally raised his head to look at me.
His hazel eyes were obscured by a pair of glasses with extra thick lens. His hair was shiny and jet black, his soft waves resting at his shoulders and his teeth colorful with braces.
"Are you ok?" I looked him over, his gray pants were covered in baby oil.
"I-I I'm f-fine t-thanks" he muttered, looking like he was about to burst into tears from embarrassment.
"It's ok, don't worry, I'll help you get cleaned up." He gave my a small smile of gratitude and nodded his head.
Then I recognized him, he was the one person in my school that challenged all my first place positions. We had been in the same classes together from elementary school straight up until now. We always had a silent rivalry going on between us but I had never had a real conversation with him.
"Alejandro right?"
"Uh yeah... You remember me?"
"Of course I do! You actually came before me in the sixth grade." I shook my head and smiled and the thought. That year I had be so depressed because I came second.
We went up to the second floor girl's bathroom to get him cleaned up. He was hesitant at first but I convinced him that no one ever comes in this bathroom because it was rumored that a girl with crabs peed in one of the stalls. Knowing these hoes at my school, I was careful to stay as far away from the stalls as possible.
I had wipes and soap and a rag in my bag and I got to work on his pants (thankfully the goo was no where near his crotch region so it didn't get awkward).
We talked about school and homework like the two little nerds we were, not even recognizing that the time was flying by and that we were all alone in a bathroom.
As it turns out, Alejandro was pretty cool to talk to and we had a lot in common
After about 30 mins of scrubbing and rubbing his pants the stains finally became a little faint.
"There you go." I smiled at my handy work, it felt pretty good to do a good deed every no and again.
He gave me a huge grin that showed off hi multi-colored braces.
"Thank you so much. I didn't expect you to help me like this, I thought you hated me."
"Hate is a strong word." I said while packing up my things back into my backpack.
"Well, I guess I'll see you around," I give him a friendly wink then I strutted out of the bathroom.
••••••
It was lunch time already, and I had just hit me that I'd skipped my English. Well won't my mother be proud.I marched into the cafeteria, ready to activate phase two of my mission. And as always I was dressed the part. I wore a short jeans shorts with frayed edges and a baggy white top that showed off my moderate chest (not as impressive as Shemikia's, but it will have to do).
By no means was I considered slim, but I wasn't fat either. I had curves.
I threw back my shoulders, lifted my head up high and walked with confidence to the table Arianne and her new boo-thing Rajae was sitting at. I made sure to swing my large butt even more when I passed by Duronie and as I did that, I could hear the conversation between him and his hoe/girlfriend cease.
Step one of phase two completed.
I gave Arianne a wink and she returned a with sly smile and a nod. She kissed Rajae on his cheek then bounded off in Duronie's direction.
Well I guess their relationship progressed quickly.
Arianne plopped herself down on the seat beside Duronie and wrapped her toned pale arms around his neck.
"Heeeeey baby," she said in a voice that was suppose to be seductive. She kicked up both her feet in his lap and fluttered her lashes.
"What the hell are you doing, Arianne?"
"Oh come on baby, you didn't say that last night." she winked and kissed him on his cheek. Shemikia's eyes looked as if they were going to fall out of her head and her teeth were bared like a wild dog. Arianne looked at her and laughed.
"Anyways, see you tonight and don't forget the handcuffs this time."
Duronie was stunned into silence as she jumped off his lap, collected Raje and sauntered out of the cafeteria.
I quickly grabbed up my bag and headed after her not wanting to be left in the aftermath of my amazing plan. I looked over at Duronie's table and I could literally see the tension in the air. Shemikia looked as if she wanted to rip Duronie's throat out.
"Arianne! Hold up!" I wiggled my behind past Duronie and straight in the direction of my best friend.
