The work still needs to be edited.
The lights went off and the thunder storms grew stronger. Travis felt a breeze in the house. He got up from the couch to check if the window was properly shut. He opened the curtains then saw that the window was shut. He look out the window and saw a shade of a person wearing a black coat. He got scared and flinched. He went closer to the window and looked out the window again then he didn't see anything.
"I must be very sleepy," he thought.
Travis walked towards the light switch, he turned it off and on. The light didn't go on. Travis walked to the kitchen and grabbed a torch. He walked to the basement and it got colder. He slowly walked down the stairs shivering. He finally made it the final stair and walked to the electricity main switch. The door shut itself and make a loud bang. Travis jumped and torched the door. The torch went off and he tried switching it on.
"I see you, I can see through your soul. You are mine and I will skin you alive," whispered a bold scary voice.
Travis looked all around the basement checking if there was no one in the basement while heavily panting then he felt something touched his face and he screamed.
Travis father Richard, opened the door and run down the stairs with a torch. "What is the matter son?"
Travis said nothing but hyperventilated. Richard switch on the main switch then the lights went on then he shook Travis "What is the matter?"
"I thought I saw something," said Travis.
Travis' father looked around and said, "There is nothing in here."
Travis mother Pearl, appeared at the basement stairway and asked, "Is everything okay?"
"Everything is okay, we are going up just now," answered Richard.
They walked upstairs then Travis's father walked him to bed.

The following day in the morning Travis walked into the kitchen with eye bags under his eyes. "You like you couldn't sleep," said Pearl.
"I couldn't sleep," said Travis.
"You can sleep with us tonight," said Pearl.
"Mom, I am sixteen and I definitely come in between you and dad," said Travis.
Pearl opened her eyes wide and asked, "What's is wrong with that?"
"Sweetheart, he has a point. He is old to sleep with us," said Richard.
Travis sat down and said, "Thanks dad."
"I guess, that also means you are old enough to make yourself breakfast," said Pearl.
"That is not fair," said cried out Travis.
"It isn't that hard making eggs and beacon," said Pearl.
"When I get near the stove the only thought that comes to my mind is burning the entire house," said Travis.
Travis' father laughed and sipped his mug of coffee. "Since you have such thoughts I don't want you near the griller when we host barbeques," said Pearl.
"My specialities are in grilling meat," said Travis smiling.
"Travis, I don't want you to burn down my beautiful garden," said Pearl.
"But mum," said Travis.
"You said yourself that when you get near the stove your thoughts are burning down the house and the grill is similar to the stove which means you might burn down my garden," said Pearl.
