Margot hated potions the only reason she took it was because her parents had thought it might be helpful one day.
James loved potions. He loved everything about it annoying Snape, annoying Slughorn and especially sitting next to Margot.
"Morning Philips" James said
" Potter" she replied
"I see we're sitting next to each other for another year" he said happily
"How lucky am I?"
"I'd count yourself very lucky"
This was going to be a long lesson
There was no practical this lesson which made it worse until James started poking at Snape which made Lilly give him a look to end all looks. She looked like she was going to kill him. But it cheered Margot up and made her smile she almost laughed.
" glad I can entertain you Philips" he said while giving her his signature smirk
"It's hardly you more like Lilly giving you a death stare is better"
" say what you want I know it's because of me"
After that she had charms still with James but gladly he was on the other side of the class to her
She had spent most of the last year helping his friend Peter so she was glad he wasn't in charms with her.
