Todays the day. What day you may be wondering, well it's Paige's party.
I promised I'd go, but now I'm regretting it. We had asked my dad two nights ago and he agreed to watch the twins at my flat so they could just sleep.
Currently, I'm in my room. Trying to find something to wear. Paige said it's a causal party, meaning smart tops and jeans, possibly.
Looking through my drawers I find a pair of black flares and white crop top. I lay them on the bed and think of what jacket to match them with.
Finally, I decide on my cream and green baseball jacket. Ending up matching my green and white Jordan's with it.
Whilst heading out of the room to finish the twins dinner, I grab a small shoulder bag and make me way to the kitchen.

Just as I round the corner into my living room, the door opens revealing Paige. She smiles and walks over to me. Right as she opened her mouth to speak, a loud squeal came from the sofa, followed by two sets of running.
"Auntie Paige! Auntie Paige!" Guess the twins noticed her, bummer.
"Hello my little angels, are you excited to stay with your grandad whilst I get your mother drunk?" She sends me a cheeky smirk.
"What does wunk mean" lily says trying to pronounce 'drunk', which goes terribly.
"Never mind! Your dinners done, sit at the table" I shoo them off, hoping she wouldn't ask that again.
"Did you make me dinner?"
"No paige, I didn't"
"Rude"

We had just pulled up to Paige's house. Cars lined the pathway, people walking around smoking or drink in hand.
"I thought you said this was a small casual party?" I turned to look at her, as a man walked into the house.
"Well.....you know me, small...a hundred people....sounds about right" she shrugs and walks into the house, pulling me along.
"Paige is this really a good idea for me? I would rather be with the twins right now eating ice cream and watching cartoons"
She rolls her eyes, going into her kitchen and grabbing a beer and a orange juice carton she always keeps for me.
"And that's why it's a good idea, live a little. Your a nineteen years old, not twenty three"
I'm passed the juice and follow her into the living room.

I've lost her.
I went to the bathroom and now she's gone.
How the fuck did I lose my best friend in her own house? oh wait. Maybe it's because there's so many people that I can barely breath!
Heading over to one of the sofa's, I sit down and observe the room.
Couples making out in the corners, drunks stumbling around, smokers heading out to the garden....
After about ten minutes of just sitting there, a tap on my shoulder makes me realise someone was sat next to me.
It was a guy, he was sat there with a big grin on his face.
"Hey! Your Paige's friend, right? Delilah was it?" He says, nodding his head over to Paige who I just realised was sat on the stairs talking to some girl with black hair.
"Um, yeah. That's me. You are?"
"Sam, Sam Dalton. I, er, work with Paige. Why are you sat all alone?"
"Well, I only know Paige and she's busy so I had no one to talk to." I look over the room, seeing everyone knows each other.
"Right, that's fair enough. Well, I'll talk to you. You seem cool anyway." His grin got bigger.
"Thanks? How old are you, sam?"
"Twenty-five, and you?"
"Nineteen"
"Oh, wow...wasn't expecting that"
I look back over at him "what's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. I just thought you were older"
"You saying I look old?"
"No! God no! I was just thinking as your-"
"I'm kidding! Don't worry about it" I smile and look away again.
Only then did I realise someone had been watching me.
"Hey, Sam. Who's that, over there. The guy on the sofa sat alone"
"Hm? Oh! That's Xavier, he's a good guy..."
"Then why is he staring at me?" I make eye contact with this 'Xavier' guy and raise an eyebrow.
"Maybe because your in his friends house and he's never seen you before? I don't know. I'll go ask him." He gets up and walks away.
