Personality: Chiyo is known as the Mom of the pillars, her personality is strong and warm, but holds the nature of a mother. She is very understanding to almost all living creatures, but not most demons. She is an excellent drinking partner as she spends a lot of time drinking, but due to her very high alcohol tolerance, she is never drunk, but one does not need to be drunk to be fun. She may be understanding, but if you piss her off enough, she will make your life miserable. Due to the loss of her children, she values other children so much and sometimes sees them as her own.
Other: She is very protective of the kids, but she holds a close connection to Genya as she shares his abilities, she often hangs around him as gyomei trains him from time to time. Even if Genya says she is annoying, he holds Chiyo close to his heart, she is his mother figure now. She cooks sometimes for tanjiro and the others at her estate, some of the pillars made a small joke about how she is the Mom pillar. She took it as a compliment.

Story:
Chiyo was not always a demon slayer, when she was 19, she fell in love and had children, however, demons ruined her dreams of becoming a mother. Not only did they kill her children, but they kidnapped her husband and injured Chiyo so much that she has a miscarriage. With nothing else, a woman named Annie, a foreigner took her in and nursed her back to health. Annie was an old and wise woman who have lived there for years, despite coming from another country, chiyo found out that Annie was a demon slayer. Chiyo begged Annie to train her, and after a while, Annie agreed. But after a year, Annie noticed how Chiyo, could not use any breaths, despite doing anything and everything she could to Do something. Annie kept training her basic sword skills, even if breathing was never on their list anymore.
One day, they were harvesting in the autumn, Chiyo had turned 20 now and it was a nice evening, and they were starting to walk their way home as it was Dark but something dreadful happened. They were caught off guard, and Chiyo witnessed Annies neck be sliced off as she held a basket of herbs and fruits. That day Chiyo fought for real, she believed it was useless and almost gave up, but as the demon had her pinned down and ready to eat her, her memories of her children reminded her of something. Revenge. In a desperate attempt to escape, Chiyo bit the neck of this demon, tearing a chunk of him away. It was then she realized something greater than a breathing style.
Her form took a more demonic trait as the flesh of the demon went into her body, and soon, her blade severed the demon's head from its shoulders. She was victorious, from now on, she used this new ability to train harder and save people in need.
