"So is this all I need..." I asked the lady who gave me the papers for my new daycare
"Yup...just sign here, here, and here" she says pointing to the spots I need to sign
"So do you think you'll have enough space in your house to do this?" the lady asked me
"Yea, I can fit at least 10 kids."
She shook her head and took the papers. She handed me a business card and told me that I'm all set to start my career. I was so happy, I've always wanted to be my own boss and I love kids, so why not open up a small daycare that will last me a couple years.
My mom would be so proud of me for doing this.
I walked out to my car and drove to my house. My house is small, I got it when I was in my senior year of college. I was getting tired of the dorm life. So I purchased a small house. I couldn't afford a big one but this one was perfect.
I set my keys and jacket down and head to the kitchen to make something to eat. I was starving, I was at the housing building almost all day and I didn't have time to get anything to eat. I came up with just making a simple grilled cheese and had some chips with it. Dinner for Champions!.

I was currently watching Keeping up with the Kardashians when my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey girl!" Michelle said. Michelle is my best friend, I call her Mitch though. All throughout college we hung out together and we would go out to the clubs and pick guys who we thought were cute and flirt with them.
"Hey Mitch how've you been?" I asked turning off my TV and heading to my tiny bedroom.
"Nothing being bored, so how'd it go today?"
"It went well, I can finally start my business"
"I know you wouldn't stop talking about it in college, I was thinking you would go crazy if you didn't start this dang business"
"Hey this business is not dang, it actually will pay for my student loans and help keep my bills paid on time" I told her. She never really liked the idea of me starting this type of business because 1. She doesn't like kids and 2. She won't meet any cute guys.
"Yea I know. So can I stay the night, my roommate got some guy over and I do not want that messing with my beauty sleep."
I laughed and told her she could stay the night. I only had a two bedroom house with no basement, so I was going to have to use my living room for the daycare.
"Okay good, cause if you said no I still would have come"
"I know that's why I said yes"
I could here her fake crying through the phone "You know me so well"
"Goodbye"
"Bye Ms. Sassy"
"Eww, you know I hate that word"
"I know that's the point in me saying it"
"Whatever" I hung up the phone and went to me closet and got dressed.

"So today is your first day on the job. How many kids are you watching today?" Michelle asked me while we were eating breakfast.
"Just 3, I wanted to start small and work my way up"
She shook her head and looked at her watch. "Oh crap!, I'm leaving now see you when...well whenever I see you."
