It was a joyful Monday morning why you may ask? Well today we arrived at our new home in Avonlea. We as in me, my mother Valerie, father Charles, and my two brother Edward and Harry.
If I have not made it clear I am more than exited to have left our old home back in New York. Though there was nothing wrong with our old home I think that this new change could be good for our family.
I was in my own little world admiring our new home it was a lot bigger than our old one it was more homely though. Pulling me out of my trance my mother called "Laney why don't you and your brother go upstairs and decide who will get which room" before she could even finish her sentence Edward and I were sprinting up the stairs trying to get there first so we could figure out which rooms we wanted best. But Harry on the other hand was taking his time not only because he was trying not to ruin his hair but also because Harry really doesn't care much about which room he gets.
After a couple minutes of waiting Harry finally got upstairs and once he did I immediately ran towards the farthest room to the left and claiming it before anyone else could. Lucky for me Edward wanted the smallest room right next to the stairs so Harry ended up with the biggest room next to Edward and across from the upstairs bathroom. Looking around my room I ran straight to the window right next to my bed this was the reason I wanted this room was for the beautiful view of our yard not only could I see our horses from here but I could also see anyone who comes and goes.
My room was the second biggest room out of the three upstairs. The walls were a pretty off white color and I had my desk right by the door and a built in closet in the wall across from my window. After checking out my room for a while Harry walked in. "Mom said that if you finish unpacking now you go explore the town before sun down" that got me more exited than the day mom told me about the whole move it's self. I ran down the stairs and grabbed my boxes "Hey be carful bringing all those up the stairs lay-lay." Dad yelled to me so I slowed down a bit on my way up the stairs and then yelled back "Got it dad."
Once I was finished unpacking I ran downstairs and quickly grabbed my coat while opening the door "Be back before sundown" I quickly told mother before running outside and hoping on my horse Harriet and riding down the trail.
After a little while I ended up at a near by cliff looking out over the water staring at the extraordinary sunset. Looking over I saw harret eating some vibrant green grass. She had the most beautiful white fur with some pretty brown spots. She is an Appaloosa and we got her when I was around 10 so about three years ago from a my uncle James. He gives us all of our horses. Mom and dad share and American Quarter Horse his name is Berlin, Harry has an America Quarter horse too and his name is Hamlet.
Edward doesn't have a horse since mother father think he's too young but since Harry's 17 and I'm 13 we both got horses.
After a while I realized how late it had gotten and got back on Harriet and rose home. Finally once I got home I ran inside and saw father sitting in the couch. He looked at me and I rather quickly started apologizing for how late I got home and he just looked at me and smiled. He got up from the couch and walked to his room before saying "dinners on the table kido."
I just laughed and went up to the table and sat down and ate then I got up and got ready for bed. Laying down in my bed I stared at the ceiling for a while just thinks before I finally blew out my candle and fell into to a deep dreamless sleep.
