Luo Binghe was a respectable Angel who had never once deviated on his lawful path of sending souls to their righteous places and parting souls from their deceased vessels. He knew the laws of his gods like the back of his hand, after all, the rules were simple and easy to follow.
1. Be righteous.
2. Do not interfere with human life nor play with death.
3. Do not abscond your duties as an Angel.Luo Binghe was neither new at his job nor ignorant of the consequences of what these actions would cause. After all, it was well known that the gods held no favour for any particular Angel, if one broke a rule the consequences far outweighed any possible benefits. A complete dissipation of the soul. An annihilation of being.
If one disobeyed they'd be turned to mere ashes and dust.
After all, after death they had the choice to become an Angel, or move onto their next reincarnation. Just because they were chosen for the job doesn't mean that they had to accept it. Binghe was an Angel of his own accord, so everything would be a consequence of his own actions.
He never remembered living, or making the choice, but that's what he was told happens to all angels. After all, he never had any reason to doubt it, angels couldn't simply have been made out of thin air.
On April 6th, Luo Binghe received a mission.
He'd never have even guessed what the outcome of this mission would be.
After all, each mission ended the same...
Did it not?
With clear instructions, the Angel Luo made his way to the hospital. The victim of this such untimely death was none other than a man who had just barely reached adulthood. One whom was bedridden for most of his life. Luo Binghe's heart ached as he'd read that, just because he'd been doing this job for quite some time, it didn't make him any less empathetic. However, the fact that none of his clients could see him definitely helped. None of them could reason him away from doing his job, let alone interact with him at all. He looked over the details of the report once more, feeling an ache in his heart for this man.
