Adam and his best friend of over a decade, Scott Tibbs, were at Adam's apartment. Scott was tuning his guitar for the concert that was happening the next day. The same concert that Y/N was supposed to attend, however, Adam wasn't so sure the mysterious girl would attend. He sat slouched in his chair, his head leaned back, lost in thought.

"Something on your mind?" Scott breaks the silence that was previously only filled with random chords of Scott's guitar.
Adam lifts an eyebrow, being snapped out of his thoughts. "Hm?"
"You've been quiet for the past 10 minutes, the Adam I know would never sit in silence this long." Scott scoffs playfully.

Adam rolls his eyes, "Well pardon me but I'm thinking about something,"
"And that thing is..?" Scott urges him to elaborate.
"Hey, don't call her a thing, she's a woman," Adam smirks slightly at his own joke.

Scott widens his eyes, "You sleep with her?" considering the person Adam was, that's instantly what Scott assumed.
"What? No, no," he waves his hands around, disregarding that thought, "I was gonna tell you, I invited this chick to the concert tomorrow, I'm just wondering if she'll show up."

"Oh so you haven't slept with her yet and you're gonna use the party that I'm hosting to get to second base?" Scott says sarcastically, earning a groan from Adam.
"Shut up Scott." he deadpanned, "Guys and girls can be friends without it being pervy. She seemed cool, she gave me the vibes of someone who would go to a garage band. If anything you should be thanking me."

"Well, thanks," Scott flattened his face and stands up, grunting as he did so. "You want a drink?"
"Yeah, gimme a beer," Adam mumbles, starting to get lost in thought again.
"Yes your majesty," Scott says, placing the cold bottle of beer on the table next to Adam.

Once Scott sat back down on the couch with a drink of his own, he sets his guitar to the side.
"So Adam," he began, "you gonna leave me on a cliffhanger while you drown your problems in alcohol or tell me about this girl?"
"Her name's Y/N," Adam said, taking a sip of his beer.
"Annnd..?" Scott gestures to him to talk more.
"She's horrible at opening doors," Adam snickers quietly.

Scott, slightly confused, brushes Adam's statement off. "Okay? Well, give me the deets, the 4-1-1, the gossip, y'know?"
Adam stares at him flatly with his beer bottle in his hand, wrist slacked, "Scott, I think you already had too much to drink."
"Oh Adam, cut the bullshit, you knew what I meant."

"Fine. She's about our age, about *insert height here*, e/c eyes, and lives right next door to me. Now, will you shut up about her, or do you need her social security number too?" Adam says in an exasperated voice.

"She...she...lives right next to you?" Scott slurred, already getting tipsy after a few sips of his drink. Scott has always been a lightweight.
"Yeah, she needed help carrying her groceries in, so being a helpful citizen of this town I helped her with the door." Adam stares at the floor, thinking about their first encounter again.

"You opened the door to a girl's place and didn't schmooze your way into the bedroom? This is not the Adam I know and love." Scott laughs.
"I had just met the chick, she seemed pretty irritated at me, well...not just me, everything. She strikes me as a person who hates everything when she's cranky."

"You could've cheered her up, she'd be like, 'Oh Adam~ Thank you so much for helping me with this door! You're so strong and handsome, and just so manly! Why don't you stay and see if you can open my legs like you did that door!'." he says in a girl voice, which was just a weak impression of Y/N. It sounded nothing like her.

"She is not the type of girl to say anything like that, trust me, I actually met her."
"Maybe if I got a good look at her I could improve my impression," Scott says mindlessly. That's when it clicked in Adam's mind, he sat up quickly. "Wait..! The picture, I forgot all about it..! I got her picture on my camera, I haven't developed it, one sec."

Adam walks over to his camera bag that was carelessly dropped by the door. He rummages through it and finds his camera, quickly taking it to Scott.
"Wait you actually got a picture..?" he says slowly, clearly getting drunker by the second.
"Yes Scott," Adam rolls his eyes at his drunk friend, annoyed at his slow responses, "look, you wanted to see her, there she is."

Scott brings the camera up closer to his face and studied it. Suddenly, the intoxicated man stands up quickly from his seat on the couch. "Oh my god wait, it's Y/N," he widens his eyes. Adam furrows his eyebrows, "Yes...that's Y/N. The girl we were just talking about." he explains slowly as if Scott was a child.

"No, no, shut up Adam. I know her! Y/N L/N,"
"...Mhm, yeah?" Adam said skeptically, not believing what Scott said. He assumed it was more of his drunk blabbering. Adam noticed between the two there was a significant difference in the amount of alcohol they could consume before getting drunk. Adam definitely being able to take more.

"Adam I'm serious, Y/N L/N, look her up or somethin'." He rolls his eyes, he may be drunk, but he would recognize Y/N's face from a mile away. Adam hesitantly grabs his phone and goes to Instagram, looking up Y/N's account.

"I swear, I know her, she always comes by the bar and always orders the same thing every time. It's super easy to make, what's it called..." His mind drawing a blank, "Oh yeah! A Piña Colada, with extra cherries on top, and a pink bendy straw," he recited her order as if it was second nature. Scott was a bartender at the local bar downtown. He's unbelievably good at remembering faces. At this point, Adam actually believed him, but once he found her social media account, there was no denying Scott was telling the truth.

"Oh fuck, that is her," Adam said, keeping most of his attention on her photos before him. There was no denying it was her. The signature h/c hair framing her (pale/dark) face, the heavy e/c eyes that seemed to glare at Adam every time their eyes met. Yet that only seemed to draw him closer to her. Her eyes are alluring, almost siren-like, something that you were too afraid to look away from.

"See, I'm not a complete idiot, I'm pretty sure a bartender should remember all his regulars." Scott says in a matter-of-fact voice, "I can't believe you invited Y/N to the concert, this is gonna be sick!" Scott's fist pumps the air.

Adam scoffs looking through her photos on her social media page. There was a variety of images, of her and some friends, her and presumably family, but certain images of her caught his eye.

Y/N wearing basically nothing at the pool, her swimsuit was revealing, not that Adam minded.
"Hm, I guess so," Adam finally responds to Scott's statement, he was too preoccupied to answer him earlier.

Scott raised an eyebrow, "Find anything interesting? You seem awfully focused on your screen right now."
Adam clears his throat and presses his phone against his chest to hide what was on his screen. There was a part of him that didn't want Scott to see that photo.
"No, not really," he murmurs casually. "Just normal girl stuff," his face was slightly pink.

"Adam, buddy, is there anything normal about girl stuff?" he laughs, "C'mon, let me see!"
Adam quickly scrolls away from the photo, scrolling down further into her feed of photos so he was as far from her bikini photos as possible.

"Adam let me see!" Scott tries reaching for the phone, and Adam pulls it away, which only makes Scott grab it again. After a short altercation of both boys grabbing at Adam's phone, Adam finally snatches it back.

Upon doing so, Adam looks down at his phone screen and freezes. His pink cheeks drained of color.
Scott sees this and freezes too. "What..? What happened..?"
Adam gulps, "I just liked a photo..." he says quietly, lifelessly, as if all his emotion was gone.
"Okay, and?" Scott rolls his eyes, thinking it wasn't that serious.

"No, you don't get it...It's from 2015." Adam slowly sets his phone down before any more damage could be done.
Scott holds back laughter, "Oh shit,"
