Ready Or Not

Chapter 2

Walking out of the building I climbed into my moms car ' how was your day honey'?

'It was good' I answered smiling.

'well its nice to see you've had a change of attitude from this morning.

'ya' I looked out the window thinking about my day

'well did you make any friends'?

'I did actually'

'well that's good'

'ya it is' she pulled into our drive, I got out of the car and went straight to my room.

I opened my bag and started my homework it didn't take that long. I walked down the stairs offering my mom to help with dinner because let's face it she not the best cook. Dad came in the door just as we were setting the table 'how was your day bells'.

'it was good'.i answered subtly'.

I'm glad to hear did you make any new friends' he asked taking off his belt

'yeah'

'that's good' well that's the end of that conversation.

We ate dinner in silence the sound of forks and knifes scraping off the plate were the only thing keeping it from being dead silent. Once I was finished I cleared my plate and went back upstairs and put on my pyjamas. Once my parents were asleep I opened my drawer taking my packet of cigarettes out of a sock. Opening the window I lit one, I started about a year ago when my friend Chloe took a packet of her dads and gave me one. I've smoked ever since my parents don't know and I'd like to keep it that way. Putting out my cigar I closed my window and climbed into bed.

The year passed in a blur and me and Alice have become inseparable. We spend every weekend together at each others houses. I love staying at Alice's her parents don't mind what we do really, their so cool unlike my parents.

It's the last day of school before our summer holidays and me and Alice are lying on the grass outside the school at lunch. 'What do you want to do this summer' she asked pushing her sunglasses on to the top of her head.

'Party' I popped an m&m into my mouth

'you know you should really stop eating junk food Oreo if you want to wear a bikini this summer' did she really just call me that.

'Oreo really' I asked

'yeah I think it suits you, you know the first day I met you, you were eating Oreos so it seems legit' I sat up and started laughing

'want to ditch'

'yeah let's go' we found Edward sitting at a table with his gang and begged him to come with us so he could drive he agreed YES but of course joey had to come

We hopped into his jeep and drove off. We drove for hours until the sun went down. carefree with music blaring from the radio, luckily I'm staying at Alice's tonight otherwise my mom would have a search party out for me.'psst oreo' Alice is drunk.

'yes alice' she looked left to right before she just started laughing, laughing like her life depended on it I laughed with her and took the beer out of her hand and began to drink it.

''Oreo really bella' Edward asked.

'ya I know she decided today it will be my new fucking name stupid I know' I rolled my eyes still laughing at Alice.

'well I think it sort of suits you, you know' oh no not him too.

'Really'?

'really' ha Edward sort of kind of in an Oreo comparing way complimented me. 'Well I'm flattered you think so'

Edward pulled into a parking spot at some beach and we all got out. Alice started striping claiming its easier to swim with no clothes on I laughed while Edward put her back in the car. She climbed out again thankfully leaving her clothes on and jumped on joeys back shouting 'run wild stallion and we shall be free' oh she just cracks me up when she's drunk. Joey is obviously drunk too because he started running towards the water. Alice screamed while joey threw her in.

I looked at Edward and saw that he was laughing he looked at me and before I knew it I was over his shoulder joining Alice in the water. I pulled Edward under with me, when we resurfaced we all started laughing except for Alice who started crying because she supposedly lost one of her earrings which she didn't, she made joey look for it under the water until she realised it was the wrong ear I doubled over laughing.

Leaving the water I walked back to the car to get a beer Edward followed me up the beach. He opened the door taking out a packet of cigarettes he offered me one and I gladly excepted it, now that mine are floating around in the sea somewhere. Smoking my cigarette and watching Alice chase joey around on the sand I closed my eyes and smiled when I opened them Edward was standing in front of me. He leaned in and kissed me but it wasn't a sweet and simple one no it was a full on tongue one. He pulled away and smiled I smiled back 'why did you kiss me' I asked?

I don't know I guess I'm drunk' he smirked woah i just kissed a guy two years older than me. man my mom and dad would be so mad if they ever found out. we turned our attention back to Alice and joey. Alice had now caught joey and was wrestling him.

Once they were finished they came back up the beach Alice still a bit tipsy, she came up to me declaring her love for me and how we were meant to be together I laughed until she kissed me woah what's with this family and kissing Edward and joey took pictures. I chased after them leaving Alice standing there like a lost kid I chased them the whole way down the beach until they deleted the pictures.

When we got back up to the car Alice was in the car sleeping thankfully we all got into the car turning up the music again I got another beer and drank it a bit too quickly 'I NEED TO PEE' I shouted

'can't you hold it in'

'NO FUCK IT PULL OVER ill go In the bushes' he pulled over and ran out behind a bush. When I was finished I went back to the car Alice was awake and was singing to some song. Joey joined in and they sang the whole back to the Cullen house.

Carlisle and Esme were gone out so we decided we'd order in

'i want Chinese' I declared

'well I want pizza' joey said we got into a huge fight over it but if course I won I couldn't help but smile wide at that. It seems the only time me and joey ever talk if because we're fighting over food. When the food came we all sat on the couch watching a movie. 'Told you Chinese is better than pizza joey' I stated

'whatever' I rolled my eyes and laid my head on alices lap and my feet on Edwards

'move your feet'

'nope'

'fine then' he tickled my feet so I kicked him. He stopped tickling me and turned his attention back to the movie. I closed my eyes.

What a perfect start to the summer.
