I woke up another day, expecting the same as yesterday. I got up and got dressed again, this time with a white shirt, and blacked unzipped leather jacket, and still blue jeans. I got up and got the same things as I would get any other day; my skateboard and guitar. I get out and head for school. Once I get there, I have half an hour to talk to my friends. we meet up, and we all go to the place where we normally talk. We talk about normal things, and we plan to get together to possibly make a band. I knew it would happen eventually. Anyways, it all goes normal. until 4th period, that is. during 4th period, science, we hear a fire alarm. Cool! a fire drill! I thought. it was at a convenient time, we where taking a test. Anyway, we did what we usually did during fire drills; we got in a line, and the teacher took attendance to see if anyone was missing. Then, we usually walk out. we start walking, and once we get out the building, I see a worried look on the security of the school. Strange I thought to myself. Just then, I heard a loud "BOOM!" and immediately looked to see what it was. I couldn't believe my eyes. the school was on fire! there must have been a small fire, then a gas leak, causing an explosion to aflame the whole building. My vision was blurred. I had no idea what to do. I stood, as other people ran in fright. the entire thing was ablaze. I couldn't even see what was going on, it was blurred my heat waves, and flames. I heard a faint voice, "Run!" it yelled. Then louder, "Run!" Then a final time, this one in full tone, and even louder. I heard it perfectly. "Run!!" It was my teacher, he was talking to me, telling me to run. Everyone else ran in terror. And I stood in disbelief. I hear a static voice coming from a security guard. He must be communicating with someone else.
"There's two kids in there!" It yelled.
"This is what happens when you let two people use the 'bathroom' at one time!" the guard said to a teacher, which I didn't know.
"Names?" Said the security guard said, this time to the microphone.
"Joseph Hernandez, and Diego Soto" The voice responded.
Joseph and Diego where in there.
"We cant help them." The voice said
I heard the security say a few words under his breath, then he throws a rock and grunts. He clearly wants to help them. So do I. I look at the burning school, then at my teacher. He is talking. If I made a run to help my friends, he wouldn't be able to catch me. I looked back at the school, then the teacher, the school, the teacher, the school. I cant turn back. I have to help. I take a full sprint to the school.
