Beep, Beep, Beep-

Alec rolls over in his bed and slams his thin boney hand down and turns his alarm off. He sighs as he stares at his ceiling not planning on going to school again, for the third week in a row. He hears his bedroom door open but doesn't move to see who it is.

"Alec, I know this is hard for you but you need to go to school. It might distract you from things going on and will give you something to think about, so that maybe you will be able to move past what happened." his mother says softly. He heaves a sigh and nods, while his mother smiles. His mother gets up and leaves his room while closing his bedroom door softly.

'Guess I can go to hell for a day' He thinks while sitting up and putting his hand in his hair, catching a glimpse at the hospital wristband on his thin wrist. He gets out of bed and gets dressed into baggy jeans and a band t-shirt. He puts on his black and white vans.

"ALEC COME DOWNSTAIRS PLEASE" he hears his mother yell up to him. He makes his way down the stairs, once he gets to the bottom of the stairs his younger siblings run to him and cling onto his legs.

"Good morning Alec" Jace and Jade say at the same time.

"Morning boogers, how'd you sleep?" He asks with a smile. They both smile and respond saying they slept good, Alec smiles softly at them and puts his hands on both their heads.

"Go eat breakfast boogers big brother has to go to school before he's late" Alec says while pushing them towards the dining room to sit at the table. He goes towards the front door to leave the house, before he can leave though someone starts talking.

"Are you not going to eat with your family?" John, or Alec's dad, asks. Alec visibly tenses, and turns around.

"I don't have time, I'll be late if I stay and eat." Alec lied, he had more than enough time to get to school while also having spare time to do what he wanted. He just didn't want to sit with his father and get judged for what he ate or how thin he was. So instead of letting his father answer he ran out the door and made his way to school.

~time skip~

Alec makes it to school and goes inside to his locker. Standing in front of his locker trying to remember the combination to his lock provided by the school, but as normal he's drawing a blank. He sighs and hits his head off his locker.

"Excuse me" he hears someone say to him.

"Uh, do I know you?" he asks as he turns to the guy standing next to him. Alec notices the formal clothing the man is wearing and connects the dots that he is a teacher.

"You're Alec smith right?" He asks me while raising his eyebrow. Alec nervously nodded, worried about why a teacher would need to know who he was.

"The principal needs to see you, as you've been out of school for a while. He needs to talk to you about a schedule change that has happened." he explains slowly, which makes me assume that he knows of my situation. He sighs and nods while walking towards the principal's office. Once he makes it there I knock on the door and hear a quiet come in. Alec opens the door and walks into the office.

"Take a seat Alec" Mr. Hollins says softly. Alec takes a seat while questioning himself slightly.

"Can I ask why you wanted to see me? I understand that I haven't been here for a while but I believe that you were informed of my situation." Alec explains in the most polite way he can.

"Yes I've been informed of your situation, but because of this we have changed your classes and have assigned someone to tutor you in classes so you can graduate on time. He will be here soon and you two will be sharing every class together." Mr. Hollins explains, Alec deadpans at the new found information. As Alec goes to talk, a knock on the door interrupts him.

"Come in." Mr. Hollins says. Alec turns to the door and sees a boy with blonde hair and green eyes, he looks like he doesn't wanna be here at all, but he also seems interested once he looks at me.

"Hi, I'm guessing you're Alec, I'm James Oakley, I'll be your tutor for a while." He smiles brightly at me. "I hope we can get along"

"Uh, yea, I'm Alec Ward." I nod at him.

Might be a bit late to mention this, but, Alec Ward is as gay as they come but James Oakley might be able to help save him from himself in the end.
