"The jury finds the defendant not guilty."

I sighed and turned to my client who was trying to hide his grin. My, my, look at this bitch celebrating like he wasn't on the verge of living behind the bars just minutes ago. Pasalamat lang talaga't ako ang nakuha niyang abogado.

Tumingin ako sa paligid at natagpuan ang complainant na masama ang tingin sa'min. Oh, the misery of losing. Must've been so heavy to carry. What a pity.

To compensate for his pitiful ass, tinanguan ko siya at nilipat ang tingin sa kanyang abogado na malamig ang titig sa'kin. Ngumisi ako. Isa ka pa.

"Nice try," I mouthed.

I looked away before he could even react. Another win for Rivera and loss for de Alcazar. As it should always be. I chuckled mentally. Naunang lumabas ang kabilang kampo. I wonder what they will do after this? Celebrate their loss, I guess?

"Thanks for the smooth trial, Ms. Galura." I kissed her cheeks.

"Of course, Atty. Rivera. You can always count on me."

"Oh, I do?" I leaned against the hardwood and gave her a small smile.

She swallowed when her eyes moved to my lips. Umubo siya at inayos ang salamin.

"I think I already proved that to you," pagtutukoy niya sa pagkapanalo ng kampo ko.

She did. My client won the attempted murder case with the help of this prosecutor. It was almost damn impossible to win. But I did every damn trick I can to flip the tables - like I always do... and Prosecutor Galura was a prime example of that.

"But I'm not taking all the credit, Attorney. Your defense is still the hardest to even crack after all," bawi niya.

I chuckled. "Oh please, Ms. Galura, you're flattering me so bad I wanna kiss the hell out of you." Again.

Umawang ang labi niya at muling napalunok. This lady was like a beast earlier during the trial, but now she looked like a damn prey under me. How beautiful.

"Atty. Rivera."

Pareho kaming napalingon sa tumawag sa'kin. I almost rolled my eyes when I saw it was my stupid client. Ugh! Indeed, men's job is to stand in the way of women's happiness. So annoying.

"We'll be having our early dinner. Let's go?"

Edi pumunta ka mag-isa? Pakealam ko? Nasa akin ba ang kotse? Ang susi? Ang paa? Nasa akin ba?

"Alright." Nakangiting sagot ko bago muling nilingon ang prosecutor. "I hope to see you again, Ms. Galura. Hopefully, outside the court." I straightened my back. "Again..." I whispered with a smirk.

Security escorted us papuntang parking lot. Walang media ang nakaabang. Well, I made sure of that. I don't want those little noisy freaks to welcome me as soon as I exited the court. Puro tanong na nga sa korte, dadagdagan pa nila.
