I woke up and seen the other still sleeping. I looked over at my sister and seen her head sleeping on John b's shoulder. I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed ORANGE JUICE and poured into a glass. I took a drink and went outside and on to the hammock. A little bit after, I hear the door open and shut. I looked over my shoulder and seen John b. "Hey." I said as he walked over. "Your the only other one up?" He asked sitting on the other side of the hammock. "Guess so." I said taking a drink of my orange juice. We talked for a while then my phone rang. I answered it. "Hello?" I asked standing up from the hammock and walking near a tree. "Hey sweetie." Mom said. "Can you guys come home real quick? I got a surprise..and someone for you to meet." She said. "Uh okay I just need to wake up Serenity." I said starting to walk to the door. "Okay love you.." she said. "Love you too." I said hanging up. I walk inside and slapped serenity's shoulder. "Come on we have to go." I said. "Where?" She asked. "Home! Let's go, mom has a surprise and someone else for us to meet." I said walking to my car. A few minutes after I started my car she walked out and got in. We drove home and walked inside. "Hey mom." Me and serenity said hugging her. "So what's up?" I asked backing away from the hug. "Surprise number one or two?" She asked. "Two." Me and serenity said. "Okay." Mom said walking to a closet and brought out a dog and cat.

"This is rue-rue. She already has her name imprinted on her collar and the address and house phone number." Mom said as she handed the leash to serenity. "She's all yours." Mom said. She turned to me with the cat in her hands.

"And this is nova, she has the same print collar as rue-rue." Mom said handing me the cat. "Mom..you never get us pets whats this for?" I asked. "Well...Tyler! Come here!" Mom shouted as a man walked in. "This is Tyler...my boyfriend-well fiancé." Mom said. "Excuse me?" Me and serenity asked looking at each other then back at mom. "He proposed today and I thought well it should be nice for y'all to meet." Mom said with a smile. "How long?" I asked. "How long what." Mom asked. "How long have you've been together..?" Serenity asked. "Uh." Mom said. "Answer mom..." I said. "Take a chill..you don't need to know anything. She's fine. I love her." Tyler said. I stepped a bit closer. "I don't know who you are-or think you are but don't tell me what to do in my own house!" I said in his face. Serenity grabbed my shoulders and backed me up. "Actually it's not your house it's your moms and mine. I've been helping pay the bills." Tyler said. "Answer the question mom. How long?" I asked again. "Uhm...5 months." She said. "You've lied to us...you said you weren't dating anyone last month." Serenity said. "Just drop it!" Tyler yelled at serenity. "who the fuck you think your talking too?" I asked. "Your sister." He said. "I don't want you talking to her like that!" I said. "I'm gonna be your stepdad if you like it or not!so you don't tell me what to do!" He said. "I'd rather live with homeless people than have you as a stepdad!" I said grabbing serenity's arm and walking up to my room with my cat and Serenity with the dog. "Stay in your room too!" Mom yelled. "Will do!" I said shutting my door. "Why the fuck did she have to do that. She tells us everything doesn't she." Serenity said. "Used too but now she's stuck in love with this dude." I said plopping on my bed. "I just want to go back to John b's or dads." I said. "We can leave now." She said. "We might as well change." I said opening my closet as Serenity went to her room to get dressed.
