"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you" Matt said. He got off of the the floor and sat on the end of my bed.
"Where am I?" I said. The hospital a woman said standing in the doorway.
"And who are you?" "Where do I live?" "Are you my mom?" "How old am I?" "Who-" a I felt a sharp pain in my left arm and I fell into darkness."
-Matt's POV-
I was so happy that Lexi woke up but then she didn't even remember me. The doctors warned her family and I that this might happen, but I didn't want to believe that it would.
She looked beautiful even with bed head, slight pale lips and skin, and dark circles. The doctors put a needle into her arm to put her to sleep. She was so overwhelmed. After Lexi fell asleep the doctors told me to go home. I sighed and walked out of the lifeless building.
-at home-
I walked though the door of my house. "Hey sweetie." My my said "I heard that Lexi woke up." Wow word spreads fast. I ignored her and slouched up the stairs. "Matt?, honey what's wrong?", "it's Lexi mom.. She didn't remember me" tear started streaming down my face.
I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. Then I slipped my hand under the sink and pulled out a small grey box. -sigh- as I opened the box my mom knocked on the door
"Matt, you okay?". "Yeah mom. Just please give me some alone time" I pulled the small sharp blade out of the box and started at myself in the mirror. I had large black circles under my eyes from not sleeping. I flipped the blade around in my hand deciding if I wanted to do it with tears still streaming down my cheeks.
Then I raised the blade and cut 3 slim cuts on my arm. Some blood dripped off of the cut and landing on the carpet I was standing on. A tear fell off my chin without warning land on my cut making it sting more than it already was. I had been clean for a year.
Lexi made me stop. But now she doesn't even know who I am. another tear fell and I pushed my fist into the mirror causing it to shatter and pieces fell into the sink.
