Starting Over

-Lexi's POV-
As my eyes opened I could see a figure in the doorway. It was that boy Matt, from yesterday.

Then I just let it out, tears burst from my eyes and started streaming down my face.

"Hey, hey it's okay" Matt said as he sat down next to me and pulled me into a hug. He was so warm and smelt like vanilla. I sniffed and he wiped the tears from my eyes

"what's wrong" Matt whispered as he pulled away from the warm and gentle hug.

"I'm so sorry, I don't remember you. I really want to." I don't remember anything." I whimpered "can you help me?"

Matt smiled a bright and cheery smile. "Of course I'll help you, Lexi."

"Can you tell me about myself?" I said. Then he reached his hand out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

Damn what was happening I had only met him yesterday. Well, technically I meet him.. Um..

"Matt how long have we know each other?" "Umm since birth" he plastered a fake smile. That made me cringe. It really angered me that I couldn't remember.

"It's okay that you didn't remember Matt said I guess he could tell I was mad by my face expression. Then he leaned in to kiss my cheek but since I turned my head he ended up brushing his lips on mine.

-flashback-
"Maaaatttt" "where are we youu" I cooed. Matt jumped out from behind his desk and tackled me. We fell backwards onto his bed. Matt I tops of me pinned me to his bed. "Maaaatt let me gooo" "nooooooo" he wimpered playfully. I started squirming and he slipped and was about an inch away from my mouth. We just looked each other in the eye for what seemed like forever then he slowly leaned in and pushed his soft lips onto mine. "I wish I could call you mine". Matt said after I had pulled away.

"Lexi are you okay?" Matt said with worry on his tone.

"MATT I REMEMBERED I SCREECHED" "I THINK BY KISSIN ME I GOT A MEMORY." Matts eyes expanded and he through me into another yet satisfying bear hug.

"What did you remember" Matt said way to cheerful.

Should I tell him? I know I should but I don't want to make him upset or anything.

"Oh.. Uhmm." I said shyly "it's okay you can tell me." Matt said grinning.

"Well we were in a house and I was looking for you. You jumped out and tackled me and then we uh... We kissed." I felt my cheeks go hot.

I looked up to see not what emotion I thought I would see on Matts face. He was frowning and looking down. I swear I saw a tear fall.

"Matt?" I said
"yes Lexi" he said glumly.
"Were we more than friends." I squeaked quietly. Matt looked me in the eyes.

"Well," Matt sighed "we loved each other.. A lot. We would kiss and hug each other and have lots of sleepovers and watch millions of movies." Then a tear fell from his eye. " I was going to ask you out. I said to meet me at the park and you didn't show. You had gotten into a car accident on the way.

He looked so ashamed and looked at the white tiled flooring. "It's my fault that you got hurt Lex, it's my fault you lost your memory.." Matt trailed off.

I looked him in the eyes an whipped the tears away. "It's okay Matt I forgive you. I will get my memory back." Then I pulled him into a hug as I noticed what was on his arms.
