Chapter 1 - Chi

--------------------------------Chi's POV---------------------------

Hastily, I made handsigns and whispered "Water style:Drowning Sleep!" and the two guards standing by the secret entrance fell, now fast asleep. Speeding past them, Kurai padded alongside me, eyes set on the forest ahead of us. 'I'm glad I got out of that hellhole!' I thought, not daring to look back, just incase the Pedo Snake was chasing after me like an old man, shaking his fist. Let me clear this up in the shortest way I can, which, really isn't very short at all. Kurai here is my faithful, bulky, wolf with wings. He also happens to be a tailed beast that is sealed inside of me, but we trust eachother enough that he follows me around almost everywhere I go. Like a little protector! Either way, alot of people find him intimidating (considering his back is at my shoulder), but in all reality, he's just a loveable hunk o' fur! Well, my hunk o' fur.

If you're wondering why we're running, well, I am-WAS Orochimaru's prodigy experiment. That't why I can talk to the dead and animals. Also why Kurai has wings. I can't tell if he was going to turn me into some kind of slave, like Kabuto, or use my dead body as a host thingy for his soul. Not to mention all those weird experiments he keeps locked in his basement. He's INSANE!! So, therefore, i am running away from that madhouse. I hope I can magically come across a place where I can live peacefully, where that bastard can't get to me. I know, it's wishful thinking, but a girl can dream!!

Cutting off my thoughts, I latched onto Kurai's fur and swung my body onto his back. Using our mind connection, (Yes, we have a mind connection, which is slightly badass) I told him to fly us above the trees, to see if we could spot anything.

After about 2 hours of flying, Kurai got tired and we landed again. I can't blame him. I mean, If I had to hold up my own, and someone else's, body weight while IN THE AIR, I would get tired pretty quickly, too! Since we left relatively close to early afternoon, it was about 2 now. So we continued on foot. We were about to head off, but Kurai picked something up. A scent. "Chi, I smell two unfamiliar individuals about a mile away." He stated out loud. So formal, much wow. I hopped on his back and replied "Onwards my big Bloodhound!!" He growled in response, then we set off towards the scent. About 5 minutes later, we spotted them.

There was a girl and a Pheonix. The small Pheonix was perched on the girl's shoulder, it's flames licking her hair, but causing no damage. The girl looked about my age, with fiery red hair. Her back was to me, so I couldn't see her face. I cautiosly walked forward, Kurai copying my movements, his head low to the ground. The girl turned to me, she had one grey eye and one purple eye, both filling with curiosity. When she saw me, she froze. We stayed that way, staring at each other for about 2 minutes, then she spoke. "Who the hell're you?!" She demanded. I didn't think she would hurt me, so I straightened up and grinned at her, putting my hands on my neck "I'm Chi! How's ya doin?" I took on a childish facade for now. She walked forward and said "Well, I'm Kasai. Kasai Viper." She said. Mentally, I giggled and said to Kurai "That is the weirdest name evar!" Then, I said, to Kasai this time "Well, where are you going, considering a chick shouldn't be wandering around aimlessly with a Pheonix." She was now in front of me, though for a moment, then said " I could say the same for you, and you seem to be more defenseless than me! Either way, I'm just looking for a village to settle down. I'm tired of wandering." I smiled, walking up to her side and elbowing her in the ribs "Wanna travel together? I'm searching for the same thing, so why not?" She groaned "Okay, just don't get in my way. And I'm not sure I heard you say a last name, what's it?" Kasai questioned, narrowing her eyes. I shrugged "I dunno it. I was never told about it." Her eyes softened with understanding. "I just made mine up, so I guess we're on the same boat, huh?" I nodded, and then we were off, in search of a home.

About another hour later (a lot of hours, right?) we came across two, huge gates. Two guards lazily lounging next to them. We cautiosly walked up. Once they spotted us, they were on high alert. We tried to just walk into the village, but failed. They stepped in front of us, and we felt about 5 presences come beside us. I turned, seeing a blue haired girl with a dragon on each shoulder. There was also another girl with a Panda taking it's place on her head, which was covered with mint green hair. Hold up, rewind. DRAGONS?! PANDAS?!
