We rowed through a large, dark tunnel. A stranger rowing the boat, and the rest of us in it. It was a simple, small boat, but it somehow fit all of us. Well, except Kurai. He had to fly extremely high because he was too big for the boat.
During the boat ride to the land of Waves, Tazuna had informed us of the predicament he was in. A wealthy and powerful man, Gato, was controlling the land of the waves. He was the leading builder of a bridge that would connect their small island to a larger continent, enabling trade with them, which would push Gato out of power. So, Gato was trying to assassinate him.
We reached the end of the dark, gloomy tunnel and entered a bright oasis of sorts, which was surrounded by large amounts of water. A few trees grew out of the liquid, adding to the oasis-type feel.
Once we were at the dock, the driver said goodbye and good luck, then rowed away. "Take me to my home, and I mean get me there in one peice!" Tazuna ordered, and we began walking. 'Stay up in the sky, Kurai. We might get attacked, and we could use you as a secret weapon.' I spoke telepathically to Kurai, who said nothing in response, which is usually an okay.
We quietly walked along, and suddenly Naruto threw a kunai into the bushes. He yelled "Gotcha!" A small, white bunny hopped out of the bushes. It looked petrified, poor thing. "Good going, Naruto. You almost murdered a small, defenseless creature." He immediately rushed up to the rabbit, hugging it and apologizing. I internally laughed. Now I feel even more sorry for the rabbit. I heard Tazuna mutter "All this for a rodent . . ." And I immediately narrowed my eyes.
Spinning around, I stalked up to him and glared. "All this for a rodent? Well, we're doing all this for a bridge builder who clearly doesn't appreciate our being here, so, y'know, maybe we should just leave. Or, on second thought, we could leave, or you could realize that any life is just as important as yours, you old drunken bastard." I growled through clenched teeth, just loud enough to where he could hear me. I think Kakashi might of caught it too, but no matter.
Then, I felt an utterly familiar presence. I couldn't place my finger on who's it was though. And I also noticed something. The bunny was white. Usually, this kind of creature would be a different color, or eaten by now. Interesting . . .
Then, out of the corner of my eye, a very well-known sword flashed. I sped forward, picking up Naruto bridal- style and effortlessly hopping into the air to avoid the dangerous blade. The white rabbit hopped out of Naruto's hands and ran away.
When I landed, I sat Naruto down and looked up at the man who was standing on the huge sword, which was embedded into a tree. I grinned at the figure. "Moo-san! Wassup?!" I yelled, causing everyone to sweatdrop except Kakashi and, you guessed it, duckass!!
"Hey there Chi. Since when were you with the Leaf??" My former Sensei replied, and I could see a faint smile under his mask.
"Shit happened, Sensei. Shit happened." I replied nonchalantly. Kakashi looked at me, his eyes filled with suspicion, but turned back to Moo-san. "Well well. If it isn't Zabuza Momochi, rogue ninja from the Hidden Mist." He said, taking two steps forward. Naruto ran ahead, but the grey-haired man stopped him. "You're in the way . . " He muttered. "Get back. He's not like the other ninja. He's in a whole other league. If he's my opponent, I'll need this." The Jonin said, lifting up his head protector from his eye to reveal the Sharingan.
Now, since I already knew this lucky son of a bitch had it, I wasn't the least bit surprised, which was more than I could say for the rest of the Genins. "Monji formation! Protect the bridge builder. Stay out of this fight!" He said. "All these people keep saying Sharingan, Sharingan, but can someone please tell me what the Sharingan is?!" Naruto yelled. "The Sharingan. A rare power that resides in the eyes. If you have it, you can immediately comprehend any Genjutsu, Taijutsu, or Ninjutsu, and mirror the attack." The emotionless duckass said. He left out the part where it was only part of his clan.
