Nari flashed her honored smile at the crowd filled with her father's acquaintances, right man's' and business partners. Her father was the kim seokjin, the most powerful man in south korea. both over and underground. he dealt with business and country at day and people and their actions at night . everyone was here to congratulate Nari on her new position, head of admissions. to his business partners and members of the country's council, she were his right hand. someone below him but very powerful. to the baem (jin's mafia), Nari was the leader of getting stolen money back, raiding, and, her personal favorite, theft missions.

she stood directly beside her dad as he gave a speech. her bouncy curls were pressed straight with a flat iron. the dress that lay on her body fix like a glove, encitusting her coke bottle curves. her face softened, relaxing her face muscles. she remembered what this was all for....the vengeance of her mother.

nari walked into her father's office hastily. he seemed urgent and stressed. nari herself was tired and wanting to go to bed. tonight's mission was draining.

"you called for me?" she said as she stuck her head into the door. she saw the man looking out the window at seoul's cityscape. "it's beautiful isn't it?" seokjin smirked. Nari walked to the floor to ceiling window. "very" she signed, "but to keep it like this , it gets pretty ugly"

her father chuckled. "you are so much like your mother. so practical."

Nari didn't like talking about her mother. the more they talked about her, the angrier she would get.

"you called me in here to talk about mom?" Nari raised an eyebrow at her father. "not exactly.." he tucked his bottom lip into his teeth before continuing, "your mother was the most amazing thing that happened to me. the most amazing thing that happened to Baem. she was always wise and thought with her feet. i miss her everyday." jin looked out the window. "was. those dirty yongs killed her.." she spat out.

the yongs were the baem's biggest enemy. this rivalry had gone on for years before the yongs leader, Moon Hyunmin, was killed in a car accident. the yongs were in constant debt with the baems, so they only thought they were the blame. so they took the most precious thing to them baems, Naomi Jay, Nari's mother.

Naomi worked her way up to her status with being a black foreigner. being with seokjin caused her to be shunned by her family. saying she should be with someone her own race. she left everything for her seokjin. he misses her every aching moment.

"i know it hurts you. you were just 6 years old. you act and look just like her. from the beautiful curls and nose, to the hardheadedness" he ruffled Nari's hair playfully, "so now it's time to be a leader just like her." Nari shot a confused look at him.

leader? what does he mean

"i'm confused." her father grinned. "nari amelia kim, you are now leader of missions" Nari was shocked. leader of missions...it sounded obscured. "b-but" her father didn't even let her get a word out before he quickly shushed her. "you'll do great. it's what your mother would've wanted"

*present day*

Nari walked around after the announcement, saying thank you like it she was stuck on replay. she wanted some fresh air, a moment of calmness. as she walked to the door of the patio someone called out to her.
"hey ri ri noona!"
she looked over to see the one and only, yeonjun.
"junnie, how many times do i have to tell you to stop calling me noona. makes me feel old." she signed. yeomjun was the newest to the gang. he was a lost kid who knew his way with a gun on the street. well he was very good with a gun. he was know as 'one shot yeonie'. because of his close age to nari, the two got close.

"my bad ri. it's just that, oh no, is that a grey hair?"yeonjun giggled. nari was quick to slap him on the chest. "not. fucking. funny" she glared at him. "language girl." she rolled her eyes at him. "nice award. 'head of admissions'. sounds hot" nari glared at him once again. "you sound like a perv."

"yeonjunnieeee~ " a high pitched squeal came from behind them. they turned to see yeonjun's love interest, seoryn. yeonjun groaned. "who the hell invited her?" nari chucked before giving seoryn a friendly smile and wave. "go get em tiger".

nari giggled to herself seeing how eager seoryn looked to see yeonjun while he looks the exact opposite. the contrast was amusing to say the least.
she sighed as she opened the doors to the wonderful smell of night.

she took a moment to look around. the noises of cars, and crickets filled the air.

sounds like home

she looked up at the starry night sky. "why did they have to take you, mom". the moment was ruined when she heard a buzz fly by her ear. she looked around to see where it had came from.

there, she saw them. on top of the building with a sniper aimed right at her forehead.

what a nice way to end the night.
