First day jitters

"Sophie it's your first day of school wake up!" yelled her mother, Edeline. Sophie groaned and rolled over in bed to check her clock. "Crap!" it was her first day of school and she, being her, was late! She quickly rolled out of bed and got dressed in some light coloured ripped jeans, a dark green Nike jumper and some white runners(outfit up the top). she sprinted down the stairs of her house, waved a quick bye to her parents and jumped on her bike cycling as fast as she could to school. she locked up her bike and ran into the school. after 21miniutes of searching she finally found her locker dumped her bag in and ran to class. "Everyone welcome Miss Foster, she is new here. Miss Foster please go and sit next to... Deck?" announced Sophie's new English teacher. The class burst out laughing. Sophie scanned the class room and her eyes fell on a short boy with periwinkle eyes and strawberry blond hair, who was rolling his eyes and blushing at the same time. Sophie tentatively walked over and took the vacant seat next to him. "Hey," he mumbled, "I'm Dex." She turned to face him. "Hi I'm Sophie," she whispered. Suddenly she felt a small thing being thrown at her head. she looked behind her and a boy with teal eyes, dark, wavy chocolate coloured hair, smiled and pointed at the floor where a small piece of paper layed. She reached down to grab it. The note read, " Hey. I'm Fitz Vacker. I was just wondering if you would like to go out sometime?" Sophie stopped reading. It wasn't even lunch time and someone had already asked her out. she turned around and shook her head. Hard. Fitz frowned and glared at her. she returned the favor. Well, she thought, I guess I made my first enemy. BRINGGGGGGG. Sophie grabbed her stuff and walked out of the class with Dex. She felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around and saw a girl with bright teal eyes, wavy, chocolate coloured hair. "Hi," she said slowly, "I'm Biana Vacker." Sophie scrunched her face up. "Hi... I'm Sophie," she said reluctantly. Biana let out a nervous laugh. " Yeah... I just came to say sorry... My brother Fitz obviously doesn't have a brain. Anyway Cya around." Biana quickly walk down the hall. "Hey Sophie c'mon lets go to the café I'm starving!" Dex exclaimed. Sophie laughed and they made thee way to the café. "Hey guys!" Dex said, "Sophie this is Linh and Tam Song, Marella Reddick, Biana and Fitz Vacker and Keefe Sencen." he pointed to each in turn and Sophie made sure to glare at Fitz when Dex said his name. "Hi its nice to meet you Linh, Tam, Marella, Biana and Keefe," Sophie said confidently, "Not so nice to meet you Fitz." Keefe smirked. "Soooooo Foster," Keefe asked, "How did you end up starting at this school in the middle of the year?" Sophie blushed, Keefe smirked. "Well my birth parents died in a house fire 7 years ago and basically ever since then I've been moving from family to family. Eventually I found the right family. My parents are Grady and Edeline Ruwine the owners of the sanctuary." Sophie sniffled. the two people sitting next to her, Keefe and Biana, wrapper there arms around her. "I'm sorry Sophie. I didn't mean to," Keefe mumbled into her ear. "It's ok," Sophie whispered back. They let go of her. Suddenly, Sophie felt a piece of paper being forced into her lap. She looked down and read the note. "Dear Sophie, listen I really like you and your soooooo cute so I was wondering if you would go on on a date with me tonight? Signed Fitz." Sophie held the note above the table and ripped it in two. She glared a Fitz. BRINGGGGGGG. "Bye guys! Cya tomorrow!" Sophie called as she walked out of the café. she just opened her locker to see Keefe sprinting towards her. "Hey Foster. Who knew your locker was right next to mine! Also can I pleassseee have your number?" keefe pretty much begged. Sophie thought for a minute. "Ok." she handed the phone over and her entered his phone number. "Thanks Foster, catch ya around," Keefe said winking at her. Well, Sophie thought, this is definitely the. Best. School. Ever!
