Nem and Jay are really close friends who everyone at school think they're dating because of how sweet they are to each other. They have kissed a few times, they both know they are meant to be something more than friends and have a connection between each other.

"I thought we had something, Jay!" Nem yelled at Jay in anger, they were both getting late for the assembly but they didn't care at all, Jay was caught kissing Amelia in his room and Nem wasn't happy about it, Nem and Jay weren't dating but they had something between them, there was a connection, it reminded her of the word 'Love'. Things were complicated between them and both of them knew that they liked each other.
Sure, Jay and Nem had kissed a few times, made out and things got heated. But they had never gone that far, Nem knew she liked Jay, a lot, not in a friendly way too, but she wasn't sure about Jay after he had kissed Amelia.
"She kissed me! I didn't kiss her back!" Jay said and looked down, he held Nem's soft hands in his hands and looked back up. "Please, believe me." He said softly with tears in his eyes, Nem looked at him and only focused on his dreamy, bright brown eyes, she saw nothing but sincerity in them, she knew he was telling the truth, she knew she had to believe him.
Nem looked down at their hands, she felt how soft and relaxing his hands felt, she looked back up, looking at his eyes again, her eyes went south, to Jay's lips, they were quivering.
Nem thought that what if his lips felt the same as his hands right now?
"Jay- I.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted this way." Nem said in a quiet voice, she looked down at her shoes, she was feeling embarrassed because her and Jay weren't even dating, she had no right to act like that.
"It's okay, I forgive you. I'm just glad that you understand me.." Jay said and thought for a moment, he knew he liked Nem, she was the only reason he was happy everyday at school, she protected him from the bullies, she brought back life to him.
"I have something to tell you," Jay said to her, Nem looked back up at him and looked down at their hands again.
"I.. I like you, Nem. I like you a lot." Jay said and Nem's eyes nearly popped out of her head as she looked back up at him.
"I've liked you since the day you fought with Jake when he was- bullying me." Jay said and blushed, he felt his cheeks heating up while confessing his true feelings for Nem.
"I like you too, Jay." Nem said and brought her hands to Jay's neck, she cupped both the sides of his neck with her hands and leaned in, pressing their lips together.
Their lips moved softly against each other, no one was in the school's hallway, everyone was out for the assembly, just the two of them kissing.
It was a nice kiss, their lips moving against each other's lips, both of them were enjoying it, it was a nice, soft and enjoyable kiss.
Jay slid his hands behind Nem's waist and kissed her passionately, his tongue slightly brushed against Nem's lips, making her gasp and open her mouth slightly, it was the perfect opportunity for Jay to enter his tongue inside Nem's mouth. Both of their tongues swirled against eachother while they kissed passionately, Nem pulled away from the kiss, opening her eyes and finding bright brown ones looking at her back. Both of them were out of breath and Jay's gaze made Nem's breath hitch, his gaze was so dreamy and full of lust.
