The past four days staying in Urokodaki-san's home was not as boring as you had imagined. With what the wonderful company Shinobu provides, you have little room to feel as bored as you usually do.

Today, however, was the second to the last day before Tanjiro would hopefully return from the Final Selection. Your attitude was more antsy than usual, as Urokodaki-san had noticed you drumming your nails against the table anxiously.

"[Last Name], I believe a breath of fresh air would do you good on a cool evening like this. You should go outside." You took his offer, nodding your head gratefully before inching your way out into the cold airy expanse of a garden.

Your sandals loudly clacked against the dirt, lulling into a gentle rhythm as you pace around the area, checking around the places that looked more used than the others.

Hmm, did Tanjiro train in this particular spot? It seems so much colder than the others, how did he-

Your thoughts come to an abrupt stop as you rose your head to face a large boulder of sorts, seemingly cut cleanly in half.

"It's almost inhuman," You breathed out.

"That was my thought too, at the time, I mean." Your ears twitch at the sound, and your body goes cold; yet your demeanor showed no appearance of surprise nor fear.

"I should've known this place had spirits around. Who are you?" You motion the wisp closer, and with each step the wisp slowly turned into a silvery sheen of a human.

Ah. it's what the wisp had looked like when they were alive. You concluded solemnly.

"I am Sabito. It's a pleasure to meet you, head priestess." The spirit bows politely, and you do in turn.

"Sabito, can you not yet leave the mortal plane? What binds you to this place?" Placing your hand languidly against the boulder, you opt to shift your weight and stare at the spirit that seemed well in-thought.
