"So you're giving me a card with unlimited money?" I squinted my eyes at her.
"Girl, go change before I change my mind." She said as her cell phone started to ring.
"I don't want your money though..." I said lowly.
I just stood there... for some reason I didn't want to leave her company.
"Speak." She said, answering her phone on the second ring.
"Oh right, I'm about to head over there now..." She ended the phone call and eyed me before looking away.
How could a woman this beautiful be so rude?
"Uhm, may I ask why?" She tilted her head.
"I literally just told you I hate feeling like fucking burden!" I complained.
"And I'm the one with a potty mouth? Oh okay." She chuckled before taking the card back.
"Look, I live the fast life.. so everyone that's around me has to 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 the part." She stated.
"Coo, YOU should take me then." I grinned.

"I guess I'll be heading out—" I turned towards the door.
"Alright, I'll take you." I turned back around and she had a smug on her face.
"Why can't Mercury just take you?" She mumbled.
"I'm sure Mercury has better things to do.. plus I think this will be a chance to warm up to me. Don't cha think?" I gave her a goofy smile.
"Go freshen up while I cancel my meetings, I will send someone to get you in 30 minutes." I left, heading back downstairs to my room.
Ima pop her in her mouth next time she order me around like a dog. Yeah, she definitely met her match.
"I encourage you to behave yourself." I heard from behind me.
I swiftly turned my head in confusion. A very tall woman dressed in all black was staring down at me. She gave me Morticia Addams vibes... from the Addams Family.
Her ruby red lips were in a smirk as if she was amused from something ...
"And you are?" I slowly looked her up and down.
"Lesley Daze, but you shall address me as Mrs.D." She stuck her hand out to me, but I just stared at it weirdly.
Once she understood that I wouldn't return the gesture her smirk immediately dropped.
"I'm guessing your a new maid.. right?" She spoke seriously before bursting into a peculiar laugh.
I could've corrected her and made her feel dumb as fuck but I just walked away, I needed a shower.
"Lesley what the hell are you doing here?" I heard Nova say furiously.
"I- I just wanted to stop by babe. I missed you.."
I blared them out finally stepping inside the elevator.
As I made it back to my room I hurriedly closed the door and locked it. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.
"Fuck." My eyes grew teary as I let my body hit the ground.
Here I was again, letting people help me. I don't deserve this, I don't deserve to even be alive right now.
"Fuck fuck FUCK!" I through the clothes on the bed before running into the bathroom.
"You're not supposed to let people in Halo, they always hurt you in the end." I whispered to myself, turning on the shower.

It was almost time to leave but I found myself staring back at my reflection.
I missed my style, my curly fro, my ego, ... my smile.
"Are you dressed?" I heard that angelic voice say through the door.
"You can come in." The door almost immediately opened and seconds later I heard her footsteps.
"Hm." She looked at me with those bright blue eyes.. every time I looked into them I got lost.
"I'm.. uh ready." I smiled small, looking at my beat up forces.
I felt weird standing by her, my cheeks burning from embarrassment. My personality is the only thing keeping me sane.. inside I'm screaming.
"You want a haircut?" She looked me over once.
"Hell yeah!" I nodded my head eagerly.
I mean.. I should make the best out of this, right?
"So I'm guessing your a.. stud?" She smirked.
"Mhm, why? You tryna kiss or something?" I walked towards her and she started moving backwards.
"You wish, let's go." She opened my room door and led me to the elevator.
"Just because I don't trust you, Mercury is tagging along with us."
"You think Ima shank you or sumn?" I laughed.
She ignored me and continued scrolling on her phone...
