I sat on the bed checking my phone. A message from Jenna was on the screen. It read; Hey girl, glad you're okay, if you need to talk just give me call and we can go and hang out somewhere <3.

"Hey, how are you?" I heard the familiar accent speak. I look up from my phone to see Ben walking into the room, then sitting down beside me on the bed.

"Uh, yeah I'm okay." I say fiddling with my phone. I look at him and I see how sincere his eyes look, making my heart do a little jump.

"I don't know the exact feeling you're going through, but I know how hard things can get. But I'm here for you and I'll always make sure you're safe." He said placing a hand on my lower back. What he just said and did, literally made feel better about everything.

"Thank you so much Ben," I smiled at him feeling like I was going to cry from this overwhelming scene.

I really want to just hug him and never have to let go. It's so tempting, him with those eyes, and that face, and the way he smells. With all of that and me not thinking straight, I leaned in opening my arms and did it. I hugged him. He hugged me back giving me a squeeze, which felt so good.

"Simone, it's you and me against the world, okay?" He said.

"Okay." I smiled while saying this. I pulled away slightly so I could see his face. I add in a more quieter tone, "I spoke with my auntie and the funeral is on Wednesday, she's gonna call back with more details but I was wondering if you could...come, not to the actual funeral, just to meet me afterwards."
I felt nervous for his reply, because it's not like he knew my dad so it would probably be awkward for him. I probably shouldn't have asked him, I should have just asked Reilly or Jenna.
Ben smiled, "Sure, a did you feel like it we could just watch movies or something after it and we can order pizza!" He almost sang the last two words. His hand was now on my shoulder and he did that famous thumb thing, making a tingling sensation run through me.
"Thank you, it means a lot. And I really like pizza." I smiled. I'm trying real hard not to be sad because I don't want to make others sad as well.
"Do you wanna go out this afternoon? We can go and be punks and annoy people or something." He chuckles.
"Haha that sounds like a good idea, but maybe not annoy people too much." I smile.
"Deal." He smiles back.

An hour or so has passed since we said we were going to go out, and now Ben was just letting Danny know what was happening. I smiled at how relaxed Danny and Ben were with each other and how Danny can be really funny without even trying. We were all standing around in the living room, Danny with a beer in hand.
"I swear I'll try not to burn the house down, don't worry." Danny says in a sarcastic way.
"Okay, ready Simone?" Ben asks.
"Yeah." I reply.
I follow him out the front door and to his car. I look across over to my house, the police must've have finally put up the crime scene tape. So that must of meant Ben and Danny had sneaked in. I'm so thankful to have Ben around, I'd probably be a messy bundle of sadness. He unlocked the car and we got in. He backed out of the driveway, taking off down the road.
"Where do you feel like going to eat?" He asks.
"I don't know, wherever you want I guess." I reply.
"There's a little place called 'Café and Burgers', they're basically a café where you can order burgers, some other foods like that and beer." He suggests.
"That sounds nice. Besides I'd like to get my hands on a coffee." I smile.
Ben lets out a small chuckle, "You'll have to teach me how to make one."
"I think I can do that. Oh, by the way, I'll pay you back later on."
"Thanks but you don't need to, it's not a really expensive place anyway." He smiles.
"I'll just have to take you out and pay for you, so I'm technically paying you back." I say.
"Okay that's sounds good to me."
We drive through town and now some small shops and restaurants come into view. Ben finds a park next to a car that looks a little too familiar.
"The café is just around the corner from here." He says as he looks at me and turns the car off.
He unbuckles his seat belt and open his door, I do the same and step out. I walk the front of his car and meet him. I hear a bunch of rowdy people laughing and just talking really loudly. I look to the source of the noise. Oh lord Jesus, really. It had to be them. A group of tools from school, James the biggest tool of them all. Fuck sake! They had to be walking down this way. Come on Simone, think quick on trying to avoid them.
"Hey Ben," I say quietly, continuing, "See them fuckboys heading this way? Well I'll explain later, but can we please walk the other way or something- I really don't want them to notice me."
Ben looks over at them, then back at me. I turn my back to them so they can't see my face. All of a sudden I feel hands around my waist and I'm pulled against Bens body. Ohhh! I quickly catch on, it was the whole 'fake boyfriend' thing. I look up into Bens eyes and he inches his face closer. Then boom! Our lips were pressed together and my body nearly went limp against him. I nearly forgot the reason we were doing this, I hear James and his posse walk by and stop. Someone wolf whistles and they exchange mumbles leading to laughter which drifted. I hear some car doors shut and a car start. We slowly break the kiss and Ben looks over me. You could hear there car drive away making skidding noises as they reversed.
"They're officially gone." Ben says in a chirpy voice.
"Oh my god, thank you." I say as I feel myself blush. I blushed even more when I notice that my body was still touching Ben's.
"Ey, don't mention it! That was kind of fun." He smirks and chuckles. "Who were they anyway?
"They're just a group of boys from school that think they're like Jesus or something and they think that they can bang anything with boobs and a mini-skirt." I explained.
"Ohhh, I see." He nodded. "Shall we get going?" He says holding out his hand.
"Yeah." I say as I take it.
He walks me to this café and he pushes the door open, steps aside and waits for me to go in first.
"Thanks," I say. He follows behind me.
"You know, you say thank you quite a lot."
"Well, I guess I'm just well mannered." I chuckle slightly.
"I can tell." He chuckles back.
Inside 'Café and Burgers', it looks a bit like a bar, but with padded seating booths and some small tables scattered around. It kind of looks like an upgraded bar. There weren't many people here, just a few here and there.
We walk to the counter to take a look at the menus. I look straight for the coffee menu, and decide on a large cappuccino.
"You know what you're getting?" Ben asks.
"Uh, yeah, just a large cappuccino." I reply.
"That's all! Why don't you also get a burger or something." He exclaims.
I look to the food menu, I see the option of a bacon and egg muffin. Okay, I'll just get that.
"Um, maybe a bacon and egg muffin." I suggest.
"Okay, sounds good."
The young man at the counter was waiting patiently. Ben steps closer and gives both our orders. Of course Ben ordered a beer for himself, which made me smile. And then he pays the man.
"It shouldn't take too long, someone will come and bring it over to you." The guy at the counter said.
Ben took my hand, which nearly made my knees go weak, and took me over to a booth. We sat down opposite each other and he smiles at me.
"So is your band like famous?" I ask Ben.
"Not yet. But we will be. We came over to America so we had more of a chance, but we have spoken with some people who are gonna listen some of our demos and stuff and if everything goes well, we will get signed and lay down some tracks." He says in a passionate way.
"That's really good, I hope everything does go well." I smile.
"Me too. We'll have to play for you one day." He says causing my stomach to get butterflies.
"That'd be really cool." I say trying to hold back my excitement.
There was an older woman waitress that came over with our food. She placed them down in front of us.
"The drinks are on their way." She says, turning back and walking away.
Within a minute, she was back with Bens beer and my coffee. She gives as both a smile and leaves us to it.

About 10 to 15 minutes had passed and we were finished. The food was quite good, and the I really liked the cappuccino. We had left the café and we were in Bens car deciding what to do next.
