CHAPTER 1: Snow

DISCLAIMER: Not all events are 100% canon to Kuroko No Basuke and I also don't own Knb or its characters, blah blah blah, you get the point. It's a fanfiction. Hope you enjoy it.

It's a pretty snow day at the park and you're playing with your younger brother Takao in the snow. What was originally a snowball fight turned into a wrestling match between you guys.

You're 10 years old and Takao is 9. Being the older sister you're taller and stronger than Takao so you easily overpower him face-first in the snow.

"Hah! I got you!"

"Get off your brother!" Your mother yells at you. You just get off of him annoyed you got caught.

"He started it!" You point at him.

With this Takao proceeds to throw a snowball in your face. You give him an annoyed look and he only laughs in response.

"Oh, I'm going to get you this time, Takao!" You pick up some snow and start packing it together. Your mother then takes the snowball from you.

"That's enough! Both of you, come with me!" You guys follow behind but continue to give each other glares and snickers. "I want you guys to meet someone. They are kids of a family friend and around your age. So be sure to introduce yourselves and play nice."

Right in front of you is a boy with messy black hair, squinty eyes, and glasses, and a little girl with squinty eyes too.

"Hi I'm Imayoshi Shoichi and this is my little sister, Saori."

"Kazunari, (y/n) and this is my little brother, Takao" you reply." Takao just gives him a glare probably annoyed that he was dragged into this. At this point, your mother has walked off and started to talk to what you could only assume was Imayoshi's dad.

"Come on, (y/n) let's just go play some more." Takao starts pulling at your jacket to come with him.

"Takao, no that's rude." You get him to let go of your jacket. You turn to Imayoshi. "Do you guys want to play with us?" You can just hear Takao huffing behind you. "Do you guys like snowball fights?"

"My sister is kinda shy. I don't think she would like that." Imayoshi turns to look at his timid sister. You rub the back of your head thinking of what to do. You and Takao usually would play rough, but you wanted to make his sister feel included too. 

"What about we build a snowman then?" You suggest. Imayoshi turns again to look at his little sister for approval. She nods shyly. After a few minutes of working on the snowman, Takao seems to be getting along with Imayoshi's little sister. You're sitting next to Imayoshi and notice how focused he is on patting down the snow on the snowman and you can't help but laugh.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" He stops what he's doing.

"I'm just wondering how you can see is all."

"What do you mean by that!?"

Imayoshi's POV

You honestly didn't want to be here and your dad even drove an hour out here just to meet with their parents. Your dad just recently divorced so it was just your father, your sister, and you. Your father didn't want us to just be sitting around at home by ourselves so he pushed us to go outside more. Today he thought it would be a good idea to meet some kids of a friend of his because we're around the same age. 

You thought the girl right before you was so annoying. She was so loud and energetic. It was exhausting.  But honestly, you were happy your little sister was making new friends and thought it was nice that (y/n) was considerate of her.

You didn't care to make too much conversation with her because you thought you weren't gonna see her ever again. This is just some temporary thing your dad thought would be a good idea at the moment. You won't have to see or deal with them again.

 A few days later we ended up moving and as you thought everything would just be forgotten.

"Hey son, how do you feel about tutoring?" Your dad says interrupting your studies. You thought he was talking about your little sister which was weird because she was really smart and never needed your help in school. 

"Sure, what does Saori need help with then?" 

"No no not her. Your neighbor." From behind your dad emerges the girl you met at the park the other day. You give an internal sigh. You had a feeling this girl was going to be a big pain in your side from now on.
