It was the day I was supposed to meet Eddie and his friends for lunch and I was ecstatic. I began the day attending all my usual classes. The entire day pretty much felt like two years until I finally got to lunch. I bought my lunch and found my way to Eddie and his friends' table. "Hey, y/n! You guys, this is y/n." Eddie said to his friends with his mouth full. "Oh, yeah, you were telling us about her. Hey, how you doing? I'm Mike." Mike said to me, giving me a head nod of approval. I smiled awkwardly at him. "Y/n, sit next to me." He said with a stern voice. I immediately obeyed and sat in the empty seat next to him, placing my tray on the table. "Are you gonna eat that?" A boy asked me with his mouth already full. "Gareth, shut up." Eddie said. "That's Gareth. He's part of my band." Eddie explained. "Oh, you're in a band? That's sick, what's it called?" I asked him, interested. "It's, uh, called Corroded Coffin. We mostly play metal stuff, I play the electric guitar, I could show you sometime. Maybe we could preform for you. Probably not, never mind, that's stupid." He said, looking down. "No, no. I love metal music. Especially Slipknot and Black Sabbath. I think that would be so cool if I could see your band." I said. His face lit up and he started telling me all about his music and his guitar. "Maybe you could come over sometime and I can show you my guitar." He suggested. Before I could answer, Dustin interrupted. "Gonna show her a lot more than just a guitar." Mike and the others laughed. Eddie shook his head, flipping them off. "Anyways, I'd love to come over." I said, smiling. "Today? How's today sound? Would that work for you?" He asked quickly. "Y-yeah! Absolutely. Drive me there when school ends?" I asked. "Yeah! Sweet." He smiled brightly. "So, y/n. What sort of stuff are you into?" Dustin asked suspiciously. "Uhh, well I like music. I like drumming, I'm not that good at it though." I saw Eddie's eyes grow wider. "I, um, like, smoking, supernatural stuff," I continued. "Like ghosts and stuff?" Mike asked, his jaw dropped to the floor. "Mm, kinda. Think bigger. Like demons and stuff." I said. "Cool. So you believe in that stuff?" He asked. "Oh, God, no. I believe in aliens and stuff, maybe, but demons, no." I said. "Mm." Dustin nodded before making eye contact with Mike. The bell for lunch blared in our ears. We put our trays back and I walked to my locker. I started putting in my combination and heard a slam on the locker next to me. It was Eddie, leaning on the locker next to me and looking at me. "Uhh, no 'hi' or anything?" I asked, laughing. "So sorry, your highess. Hi." I smiled before grabbing my books and walking. He walked with me, because it was time for chemistry. "So, we've been in the same class all year and we're just now talking?" I asked. "I mean, I wanted to talk to you." Eddie responded. "Why didn't you?" I looked at him. "Just scared, I guess." "You, Eddie Munson, scared? Of me? Look at me, dude, I'm like 5'4!" He laughed. "I don't know, dude, females scare me sometimes! Especially mean looking ones." He told me. "I'm definitely mean." I nodded. "Clearly." He responded. "Shut up!" I yelled and he laughed hard. We walked into the class and sat in our seats, him behind me. Eddie slouched in his seat and put his feet up on his desk. I kept going through that sentence in my head.  I was friends with Eddie Munson. And it felt good.
