Friday came quicker than Venus expected. The past few days were spent as busy like always that it came by too fast. The prior days were filled with meetings, phone calls, and emails. Venus even had lunch with her father who had been nagging her to discuss business.

Venus' parents just came back from a business conference in Singapore about an international partnership and was intrigued to hear what was new with the family business. Venus caught them up on almost everything. She kept out the fact that they had a potential to partner with Robert Downey, knowing her dad would just add onto the stress.

Since Venus has been a toddler she looked up greatly to her dad. She would remember sitting on his lap during conference meetings, in awe on how quickly he would claim the authority in the room and how quickly people admired his work. He was the person who shaped Venus' integrity and was the one who taught her everything she knows. So, Venus doesn't want to disappoint him. Or stress him out.

Venus was sitting in the backseat of a white mercedes her knee anxiously bouncing since she entered the car. Amelia sat beside her scrolling through her phone mindlessly to waste time on the brief car ride. The two girls were headed to Mr. Downey's lunch with a dozen other billionaires who want to invest with Robert Downey. From the list Amelia forwarded to Venus of the guests attending the lunch, Venus Walker would be the only female CEO there.

Her bottom pink lip was captured between her teeth and her eyes stared out the window, darting from the different shops and buildings that passed by. Her whole face was blank but her thoughts were running through her mind. A tight white short satin v-neckline Prada dress covered her figure with a tan-brown Louis Vuitton trench coat around her arms. Her blonde hair was tied back into a bun with a few strands framing her face. Venus Walker looked like an angel that contrasted to her darker intimidating demeanour.

A buzz from the phone in her lap caught her attention. Her eyed turned to the lit up screen, reading the notification from Elijah. Up until now she forgot she has a boyfriend. He has been in conference meetings for the past few days that neither of them had time to see or speak to another. Not that Venus cares. Elijah was nothing but a good fuck every other day. Which is why he was texting, asking if she was free that evening.

"We're here, Ms. Walker." The driver announced holding the door open for the woman. Venus didn't even realize they arrived or stopped, too consumed in her own thoughts.

Flashing the driver a smile, she exited the car to stand in front of the building waiting for her assistant to come to her side deciding to respond to Elijah later. Her eyes scanned the glass building that stood over her, knowing that just on that rooftop contained the wealthiest people in the world. And she would soon be there too.

"Amelia?" Venus asked. Amelia hummed stepping inline with her boss, holding her Dior purse in her hands. "Stay in my sight at all times. We are two businesswomen living in a man's world. But I will not tolerate any disrespect to my families name or my employees. Do you understand?" Venus looked over at her assistance and narrowed her gaze quizzically.

Amelia smiled at Venus and nodded. "I understand, Ms. Walker."

Venus hummed. "Good." Turning back to the main doors, she let out a deep sigh and began walking towards them.

The doorman held the door open and gave a nod with a small tip of his hand in respect. Venus didn't bother a glance, marching straight to the reception desk to announce her arrival. But the moment she stepped into the lobby, all eyes were on her. How could they not? Venus Walker was on billboards, to magazines, to talk-shows. The woman was a walking icon in the business industry and her being seeing in person was rare, always absorbed by her work. But Venus knew people were staring. They always were.
