I drive along the rainy Interstate 85 in silence. I glance at the time on the dashboard; the time is 3:02 AM. My conscience keeps nagging me on and on about this stolen Chevy Cruze; to take my mind off my dreadful thinking, I activate the radio and rest my hand on Anastasia's thigh. Tuning into 98.9, the song I Don't Want This Night to End by Luke Bryan begins playing. I continue along the road towards the heart of Alabama. I reach for a can of Monster energy out of the cup holder and take a long sip. I smile as I set the beverage down; my dream of reaching Edmonton with Anna is in full force.

We reach the city of Shreveport, Louisiana at 10:30. Pulling off the highway, I park at a QuikTrip. The 100-degree heat causes me to break a sweat on my way into the store. I grab several large cans of Monster Energy shortly after using the restroom. I purchased the cans with the personal debit card loaded onto my phone, which I always have full of all my money. I walk back to the car through the heat with my purchase and a smirk on my face.

Without a second thought, I pulled the car door closed. I thought running away would be more stressful; I feel somewhat relieved getting away from Hinesville. Yesterday was too much for me; My parents kicked me out after finding out we had sex. Anna's parents told her to move in with me, so we decided to run away. Ever since we were 15, Anna and I were inseparable. Now 17, we've since tried weed together, dated publicly, and of course, we've had intercourse several times; you could say that we're pretty attached.

Anna wakes up hungry at around 1:00 after we enter Dallas, Texas. While I drive us to Sura Korean Bistro in the north end of the city; Anna puts one of my old playlists on, I Feel It Coming by The Weeknd starts playing. About 25 minutes later we had reached the Korean BBQ place after some minor traffic. We sit down and order all-you-can-eat fried rice, Bulgogi, and two Sprites. A waiter named Daryll brought us our meal, he complimented my hoodie as he handed us our drinks. We enjoyed our meal thoroughly and our bill came out to be $55.

6 hours later down the road, Anna is scrolling on her phone looking for a cheap hotel to stay the night. I continue driving north into northern New Mexico as we listen to one of Anastasia's playlists. After calling ahead to a local hotel in Denver. We trade places in the car. She drives off into the evening to Broomfield while I take a nap.
