On January 14th, 2007, Y/n L/n peeks behind the school's gates to find the grouchy Class A student, Kento Nanami. She had been praying and wishing for everything to end up all right— her confession.

He isn't even in the same class as hers. Their classes are divided by test scores.

"We live in a totally different world than his. But I do my best too. Each year, I tried so hard to be in Class A with Nanami." Y/n falls to her knees and tugs on Shoko's skirt.

"Y/n." Shoko nudges her "You do know the alphabet, right?"

"Yes, of course."

"Then can you count how many letters are in between A and F?"

"A... B... C... D... E... F..." she held up her pinky finger and Shoko grabs her wrist "That's right. You've always been in Class F. It would take a miracle for you to get into Class A! It's more difficult than winning the lottery."

"Less possible than getting hit by a shooting star?"

"I- What did you say?"

"Oh, never mind. But you're totally right, he has no idea who I even am. But I just want to tell him my feelings before my high school life ends."

"You are too naive."

Y/n furrows her brows and stares at her "What do you mean??"

"I'm not forcing you to back down. You can confess to him if you want." she shrugs "I'm just saying so you don't hurt yourself."

"Okay." Y/n got up and looked through her bag, pulling out a white envelope "I'll do it."

"Wait, right now?!"

"It's better that I have enough confidence right now!!"

It was a bad idea. A horrible idea. It was just yesterday when Kento Nanami acknowledged her existence. Some of her papers flew away but Nanami helped catch a few.

It was then she decided she wanted to confess.

She would write hearts on her calendar on days when she saw him. She fell in love at first sight 2 years ago at their entrance ceremony. It was a sudden infatuation, but she had never felt that way before.

Even though she had a dozen crushes before him...

She mustered up all her courage and walked up to him, stopping Nanami in his tracks. The blond looked at her in confusion.

"Excuse me."

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Y/n L/n from Class F." she held out a cute envelope with a heart seal in front of him "Could you please read this?" she bowed her head.

"I like you, Nanami-san..." it felt like a weight has been taken off her shoulders. She could finally breathe.

He huffs, walking around her "I don't want it."

"Eh?" it did not go as planned. Y/n looked like a fool standing there. Even some passersby laughed and whispered about her.

It seemed like her first love had ended pretty easily.

You could hear her heart shatter into a million pieces. Shoko grabs her and pulled her into the cafeteria "That didn't even last 30 seconds!"

"I'm... I'm gonna die alone."

"Don't be dramatic!"

13 YEARS LATER, THE PRESENT...

"Y/n! Over here!"
"Y/n!"
"Y/n, here's my order!"

The bakery was packed with businessmen on their breaks. But all of them called Y/n who delightfully serviced each and every customer with a beautiful smile. Despite having plenty of co-workers, Y/n was always highly requested.

"Can someone cover for me? I have to pick up my babies in twenty minutes." she removes her apron and entered the backroom.

"Go ahead! You owe me dinner next week." Utahime nudges her "I have no objections to that. Make sure to hand out receipts! Or else they'd cut your heads off." Y/n rushes out, putting on her coat.

Badluck hit her as it immediately started raining the moment she stepped outside. No worries though, as it seemed like it was expected to her, she takes out an umbrella and quickly ran towards a cab.

"Tokyo Children's Academy, and please step on it."

"Alright, ma'am."

Her three little bundles of joy. Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara. They didn't pop out of her body, but she loved them as if they share her blood. Of course, being a mother isn't such an easy thing. It has its highs and lows.

Three children of the same age running around don't sound fun, but at least it's worth it at the end of the day.

"Mama!" the three ran up to her. They began to speak about their day and walked hand in hand with her. Yuji tugged on her coat "Mama, Megumi picked a fight with a classmate."

"Snitch!" Megumi glared at him.

"Yeah! Didn't you promise not to tell?"

They stood under the bus stop and Y/n kneels down to their level "Okay, okay. What's with this fight? Megumi?"

"He started it!"

"Who did?"

"A second-grader and Yuji's best friend, Todo. Megumi punched him in the playground." Nobara sighs.

"Megumi??" Y/n stared at him, but he turns his head away to avoid her gaze "Did you actually fight him?"

"Maybe..."

"Mama, we already said he did." Yuji and Nobara say in unison.

"Okay." she gets up and hands them candies "So, did you win?"

"Yeah, he did!" Yuji cheered, raising his fists.

"Even if it was a boring fight, he did win. The teachers didn't see."

"We're getting ice cream for dessert!!"

"YEAH!!"

As the four of them cheered and waited out the rain, a man in a tan business suit walked past them with an umbrella. He checked his phone "Where the hell is the nearest bakery..."
