" So you're afraid of intimacy?" Dr. Kinase asks

Touya touches his wrist, feeling the rough skin there, "I guess"

"Why?"

"Because...I look like shit"

She hums, writing briefly before looking back up, "But you mentioned your soulmate is blind,if I recall"

"Well yeah,but she'd still gonna feel my skin and what if she feels me and—" he trails off with a scoff

"I understand your frustrations, it can be difficult reaching those levels with new people. Especially with trauma" She clicks her pen again, "Go at your own pace and don't rush what you don't want"

Dating you is fairly easy. You're easy going,understanding,you don't push his boundaries and he doesn't push yours.

A month goes by without him realising and it's probably the best month he's had in a long time.

Now,both of you are laid up on your couch,watching—or in your case listening—to one of your cheesy rom coms while Mina is out. Touya laying his head on your belly while you scratch his scalp gently. The action and your distinct Shea butter scent nearly making him fall asleep

'—and I slept with your father!' The female lead blurts

"Oh fuck off " you gesture in the direction of the t.v, "But she was mad at Ida for sleeping with her boyfriend. Okay "

"Mm" Touya hums,smiling at your little outburst while scrolling through Instagram. He doesn't follow anyone,just his siblings and one of his childhood friends but there's a ton of cooking pages he enjoys watching.

A message appearing at the top sours his mood

You feel him tense, "What's wrong?"

He sighs,swiping the message away, "My sister is asking me to come for family Sunday dinner"

"Oh,you never talk about your family"

"They don't matter"

You huff, "Sunday dinner does sound nice though"

It does but he hasn't been to the family house in almost eight years. For good reason

"Don't worry"

You scratch a soft spot on his head and he groans quietly,nuzzling his nose on your sweater

"I'd love to meet your family though" you say quietly

"Ughhhh" Touya groans and you laugh

"It's okay,whenever you're ready"

Touya thinks. It'll be better to just do it now and get it over with.

He texts Fuyumi back to tell his dad to act right this time

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Touya asks,gripping the steering wheel so tight he's sure it'll break.

"You've asked me like fifty times" you giggle, "I'm excited"

"We can turn back now"

"Touya" you reach out and pat his arm, "It's okay,I'm ready when you are"
