"Need I remind you that staring is rude, Nik?" Kol says, nudging Klaus's side. "You DID give the man as much time off as he needed, did you also forget that?"
"Of course I haven't forgotten," Klaus looks away from the sight across the garden. "This just doesn't make any sense. He never mentioned her, nor She, him." He says in an annoyed tone. "And then all of a sudden, by some miracle, they happen to know each other."
Kol leans back in his seat and glances in Sam's direction, "maybe you should ask her, give her a chance to explain."
"And if she doesn't want to talk about it because she owes me no explanation?" Klaus asks.
"Compel her." Kol shrugs, looking back towards him.
Klaus shakes his head and looks over his shoulder as Claire approaches, "no, I'm not going to force her to tell me anything she doesn't want to share."
Claire rolls her eyes and sits beside Kol, "sometimes it's better than being kept in the dark." She sasses, "besides, I think Miss Winchester looks happy. She's with a man she clearly is in love with. I say you leave her to her peace."
"Have either of you got a knife?" Kol asks, rubbing his hands over his pants, "because I'd love to just cut the tension between you and serve it as a dinner appetizer."
"Shut up," the two say together, glaring in his direction.
Klaus looks towards the couple again and sighs deeply, "Claire and I won't be home for dinner this evening," he says, standing up. "We have plans, and we leave within the hour, so-"
"I don't get a choice? Because I would rather stay here, away from you." She raises her brow and crosses her arms.
"Very well," Klaus smirks, turning around and begins to walk away. "I'll send Elijah your love then, Miss Singer," he says nonchalantly and stops to turn around. "Unless, perhaps, you change your mind on the matter of our outing."
Claire stares back at him, uncrossing her arms. "You're bluffing." She says softly, a small hope still set in her eyes. "This isn't a time to be making a joke, Niklaus... Your Grace."
Klaus shrugs and turns around again, "within the hour, Miss Singer."
"You're leaving?" Samantha asks, taking a small step in his way. "When are you coming back?"
"I do believe that business is of my own, Miss Winchester." He replies, giving a look over her shoulder.
Jesse steps forward and takes a hold of her arm and pulls her back. "I'm terribly sorry, Your Grace. She doesn't mean to speak out of line."
Klaus and Sam raise an eyebrow, "out of line?" He asks, shaking his head. "She's can speak as freely as she pleases, and you'll do well to remember that. Do you understand?"
"Y-yes, Your Grace," Jesse stutters nervously, his head hanging a bit lower. "My apologies, Your Grace."
"It's not me to whom you owe the apology, Mister Moore," Klaus says in an annoyed tone, looking over Jesse's shoulder when Kol snorts. "Perhaps Miss Winchester would like the apology over your controlling behavior, no?" He asks, looking at Sam.
She brings her hands together and stares at them nervously, "I-I guess so?" Sam says quietly, avoiding the eyes of both men. "I mean, it wouldn't hurt-"
"Niklaus," he turns around at the sound of his name, slightly more annoyed. Rebekah stands side by side with Deanna in the doorway, "there's something I need to speak about before you leave today, if you could?"
"Of course, sister." He mocks a sure tone and turns around, pointing from Jesse to Sam, giving Jesse a firm look. "Apologize for your behavior."
Jesse takes Sam's hand, holding it ever so gently and looks at her with soft eyes. "I apologize, Miss Winchester, for my controlling behavior."
