It's cold. Shivers are going down my spine. Everything feels weird and I have zero clue where I am. I can't open my eyes, or at least it feels like I can't. My body feels numb and I can't feel my surroundings.  I hear faint voices but my eyes nor mouth care to even respond. My eyes start getting  heavier and  my body can't help but to close them again.

"We need to get her up, she's been asleep for too long already and she needs to be awake for testing." A voice says. My body jumps up from the bed I was laying on and I start looking around everywhere. "WHERE AM I?!?! T-TELL ME WHERE I AM- WHAT IS THIS PLACE AND WHO PUT ME HER-" "MA'AM WE ARE GONNA NEED YOU TO CALM DOWN- M-MA'AM'' A lady yells from outside the room, she opens the door and tried grabbing my hand. "CALL BACKUP- NOW!!" She yells at the men behind her and they run out the door looking for backup. It's been 5 minutes till more people arrive trying to calm me down. I tried running out the door yet greatly failed as two men grabbed me from my waist and pinned me on the bed, tying me up. "Okay guys. Thanks a lot." the female says to the men standing in front of me. "Well she is pretty feisty. No problem, We will be outside the door if you need help again." One of the guys says and they both walk out the door. She fixes her glasses and proceeds to walk toward me.
"Before you start going crazy, I'm here to explain everything that has happened. I'm going to need you to cooperate with me for at least 20 minutes. That's all I'm asking." The lady says, looking at me. I force myself to not speak but end up nodding instead. Time flies by as everything, or at least everything gets explained. They told my how I got here, the test that have been done on me, but yet they never told me why im here or if there are other people here..-
"Oh..o-okay..s-so im the last survivor and..i'm here because you guys can help me..?" "Yes, that's exactly correct Miss.Mai."  "Well..are there any other people here.. And why exactly am I here? Just for a test? Wait- why so many tests??"  I say starting to freak out a bit. "Miss. Mai take a couple of deep breaths, we will answer those and more questions later, right now we need to get you a new pair of clothes and you should go eat dinner."  "dinner..? Wait, I'm eating here?" I say giving a weird look at the Doctor. "Yes Min, you will be staying here for quite a while. Please get used to today, there might be similar days like it other than the fighting and screaming. And don't try running or leaving this place. It's for your own safety and you could get hurt even if you try." She responds by changing to a deep, serious monotone voice.

God this is all happening so suddenly..all these tests and an out of nowhere facility. I don't know if I can trust anyone here anyway. I'm wandering around my room trying to see anything that could help me figure out more of this place. Although the doctor is talking to me, I'm still trying to figure it out by myself. My mother always said that I had bad trust issues because I would never believe anyone unless I got the feeling it was true, and right now I honestly don't have a feeling that this place is even remotely safe. For now I guess I'm going to have to believe them or act decent enough for no one to suspect anything.

I hear a knock on the door and open it to see one of the body guards holding a gray and black long silk dress along with a pair of black flats, he hands it to me. I grab it as he starts speaking, "This is what you will be wearing every day. Trust me it may look uncomfortable but the dress is very warm and comfortable, fits for any type of weather. You will receive your nightgowns, testing clothes, and under garments later. If you want to wash yourself, feel free to knock on this door and we will escort you to the showers."  He says in such a formal voice, so calming yet professional. I didn't find myself saying anything other than "Will you please show me the showers then?"  The man escorts me out of a room into a long marble walled hallway. It felt pretty cold as I walked the halls, but I noticed many other doors that looked similar to mine. Some of the lights were off meaning that some people, if I am correct, are located in other places. I continue looking until the guard stops me and points at a huge door. "This is the ladies shower room, when you walk in there will be towels, soaps, and other things being provided for you. I will be waiting out here to escort you to the cafeteria."  I look at the man in his eyes and nod. I noticed something very odd about him.. Although his hair covered most of his face I was able to notice his darker toned face with a bit of scars and bright red eyes. Red eyes?? What the heck...Those are normal. Maybe I'm just stressing out a bit. They probably are contacts anyway.

I walk through the two huge doors and look around the showers. There was a variety of soaps, towels, hair products and makeup. Not only that but I realize I'm not the only one here. I hear showers running and some people talking. The fact that there are others made me a bit happy knowing I was alone, although I know I'm probably not going to socialize much anyway. I walk towards the soaps and towels and grab one of each. I feel someone tap my shoulder and I jump a bit. I drop the soap and the towel, as I lean over to pick it up another person's hands reach it. I look up to see a girl with the most gorgeous ginger hair and green eyes. She looks at me giving an awkward smile and proceeds to say  "Looks like you dropped this." She hands me the soap and towel. "I notice you're the new girl here." I nodded looking down at the floor. God Min-Lee says something to her I say to myself.  "O-oh nice to meet you..I'm Min-Lee but you can call me Min..and you are?" I stutter a bit. The girl looks at me and giggles a bit, "My name's Linx, you can just call me that."  "Linx is such a unique name!" I say smiling to her. She gives me a smile and says "Well maybe we should get to the actual showers. But I hope we can be friends!" We walk to the showers and talk for a bit. We finally get out of the showers and get dressed. Linx had a similar dress except with a few differences in design which made it more unique matching her. My dress, surprisingly, was very comfortable and fitted perfectly along with the shoes. As I look in the mirror I hear the voices of my mother saying "Oh darling you look beautiful" and imagine her doing my makeup and hair like she used to do. I see my siblings running around touching the makeup even though they weren't supposed to. I miss you so much Mom..Niyah..Shay..It feels like you're still here with me. Your presence is still lingering in my mind. I can feel your hands playing through my hair and the scent of your awful perfume that I find myself now missing...
