"W-w-whaaaaat?!" Hanabi shouted. "What's happening?"

Mori wordlessly urged the shocked girl into the house before heading back out.

Satoshi came in soon after his elder brother left. "Don't worry too much about it, it's a Haninozuka tradition," he explained.

"Oh, right. Totally explains it," she nodded. "...not! They had weapons coming out! Are they gonna be okay?!"

"They'll be fine!" Satoshi laughed.

All Hanabi had to do was give Satoshi some vitamins for his giant salamander, that's all she came to do! She wasn't expecting Yasuchika to fly past her in sudden attack mode! She was so startled, she ended up slipping into the pond. Mori helped her out immediately but she could only focus on sweet little Honey and his brother battling right there in the yard!

"Hanabi-chan, follow me please."

"Sakura-chan...I'm so sorry." Hanabi glanced at the puddle she didn't even realized had formed beneath her feet. "I'll go outside! I forgot!"

"You can use the shower to clean up," the maid said. "I'll prepare extra clothes for you as well."

"You're a lifesaver!"

By the time Hanabi finished cleaning up, the puddle was taken care of and the four young men were sitting in a large waiting room. She was now wearing a simple plain t-shirt and some leggings.

"Hana-chan!!!!" Honey cried upon seeing her. He jumped into her arms and gazed up with watery eyes. "I'm so sorry!!! It's my fault!"

"Not at all, Honey! I'm not upset, I promise!"

"Besides, it was Chika's fault to begin with," Satoshi added. "Apologize to Hanabi, Chika!"

Yasuchika simply huffed and turned away, more cold towards her than usual.

"Chika!!!"

"Don't worry, Satoshi. I was just startled!" And she knew Yasuchika felt bad, she didn't need him to say it. She turned to Mori and bowed, "thank you for pulling me out of the pond."

"...No worries."

She smiled. "It is a surprise to see you both here, though."

"We actually came to see you, Hana-chan!" Honey told her as he pulled her to the couch. "Takashi especially wanted to see you today!"

Hanabi giggled as Mori frantically tried to explain. Well, as frantic as the calm man was capable. "For the treats."

"Ah, for tanuki-chan? Don't worry about it, I've left them with Sakura. You didn't have to make a special stop for it!"

Takashi only smiled, but Hanabi's attention was already pulled away by a different Morinozuka.

"Morinozuka-san," Hanabi stood and slightly bowed. "Thank you for your hospitality."

Morinozuka Akira had entered the room from somewhere deep in the house. Curious about the commotion earlier, he had already been informed of the little swimming mishap. "Not a problem. I'm glad you are unhurt."

Hanabi nodded her head with a polite smile, "sorry for the trouble."

Akira briefly greeted the boys before disappearing once more.

"Wow! Ji-chan must really like you!" Honey spoke to Hanabi only once he knew the older man was gone.

Hanabi tilted her head, unsure where that came from. He usually made it a point to briefly greet her in the gardens, but usually no more than a simple 'hello'. But thinking back, she couldn't recall any other family heads who would do the same.
