Tyr could feel his heart beat pound in his ears. Then the sound of rushing water flooded his ears draining out his heartbeat. Tyr could feel pleasant heat on his skin.
'Maybe a hand,' he thought?
Tyr could see soft orange light blossoming into his sight. Steadily the light grew more focused and strong. As if waking from a deep sleep Tyr eyes blinked several times bringing everything into sharp focus.
Tyr could feel hands on his head and back. Looking up he saw the woman standing over him chanting in a strange language.
"El mantra zilla mora. Undin hush shi," the woman said in a commanding voice.
Tyr's second thought was that the woman's bust was practically inches away from his nose. Feeling heat rise in his body he quickly looked away.
A moment later the woman stopped chanting. Tyr turned back to look at her just as she grabbed his hand that held the egg. Following her gaze Tyr was shocked to see no egg or anything in his hand at all.
"He has passed the test," the woman said with a voice that left no room was discussion.
The blue robed man jumped out of his seat and headed straight for Tyr. Uriah hurried after him. Just as the blue robed man was about to grab Tyr Uriah slapped his hand away.
With fury no longer contained the blue robed man turned and started too shout at Uriah.
"How dare you stop me! How dare you touch me!"
With a calmness that shows strength and resolve Uriah responded, "I am a Cliarthairi same as you. As you are well aware these ranks are for life."
The blue robed man clammed his mouth shut stopping all sounds that threatened too come pouring out. Tyr could see his face change from red to a almost deep purple in rage.
The woman who had been silent stepped between the two of them and pushed them apart. Tyr looked past them to Taylin and saw him still seating holding his stomach. Tyr could see Taylin was still hurting from the punch their father gave him.
"This is not going to get us anywhere you two," the woman said loudly. Looking to Uriah she said, "Your boy will need to be trained." Turning back to the blue robed man she continued, "You also know that Uriah does have the right to decide when his young son can leave."
Both men stared at her with two different faces. Uriah's face showed a thoughtful relaxed expression. The other man's showed open hostility. However neither made a move to correct her.
Lowering her arms the woman pointed too the table.
"Sit."
Both men looked at the table for a moment and walked to the seats they had left so abruptly. When they had both seated the woman nodded and finally turned too Tyr who still remained on the floor.
With a soft expression on her face she bent down offering a hand to the young boy. Looking from her hand back to her face a few times Tyr reached and grabbed her hand.
With a gentle tug she helped him back to his feet. Then she ushered Tyr back to his seat and took her place beside him just as they were when they ate supper.
"Now," she said too everyone at the table. "With the test out of the way, I can fully say that Tyr is a Beast Master."
Both Uriah and the blue robed man nodded as she said this. She went on, "As per law his training will begin when I and his father meet in an agreement."
The blue robed man looked as if he was about to shout something but the woman continued looking him in the eye.
"As you also know that as the boy's birth parent Uriah has every right too decide how and where his son is to be trained until the boy comes of age."
