Beelzebub never thought of himself as the kind of guy to fall in love with someone. Sure, he had many flings and hookups, but that was only natural for demons. As a creature of lust, he always just got his frustrations out and left. He never gave it more thought than that. That was until he saw her. She was the most beautiful creature he's ever laid his eyes on. An innocent ocean elf with a lively personality. She was reading a book to a class of giggling little kids. This couldn't be right Beel thought to himself. Why was she, his target? Why was she the person he was supposed to kidnap? It doesn't make any sense. His target was supposed to be someone dangerous, someone, that was a threat to the demon race. There's no way this bubbly elf was the person he was after. Maybe it was an act she was putting on, that had to be it. Beel tried to rationalize it in his head, but everything he came up with seemed off, and he couldn't shake the feeling of doing something wrong. Nonetheless, he had to carry out his mission. That's what his dad would have wanted him to do after all.

He watched her, followed her, and waited for the right moment. It was pitch black outside, and the air of this bustling city was calm before he would get his chance. He saw her enter a house, no cars in the driveway or garage but hers, and no lights were on until she entered. She was alone. This was his chance. He approached the home with soft footsteps and an even pace. Around the side of her house, there was an open window with light pouring out of it. He could also hear the faint sound of jazz music coming from inside. He was starting to doubt himself again, no one supposedly dangerous would leave themselves so open like this. He slowly moved to look into her house from this window. Every bone in his body was trying to ward him off from this. Every muscle screamed at him to leave, to return home and say the opponent was too difficult, and that he couldn't do it. He froze, no movement in his body whatsoever, he wasn't even breathing. What was he thinking? How could he, Beelzebub Achlys, a rank seven demon, even be thinking about not completing his mission? His father's voice was playing on loop in his head, hurling insults at him, saying he wasn't good enough. He couldn't let his father see him fail, he was determined to prove his father wrong.

He cautiously looked in the window. He was suddenly hit with a wonderous smell, and the jazz music grew louder. He was looking in her kitchen, which was just as lively as her. There were things obviously out of place and a sink piled high with dishes. He shifted his gaze and laid his eyes on her. She was swaying along to the music while she was cooking. Beel wasn't sure why, but his heart grew warm while he was watching her. He knew now that there was no shot of him completing his mission. She was completely innocent he was sure of it. Now he just had to figure out to tell his father. He was pondering, still gazing at this elegant elf, completely enchanted by her beauty. When all of a sudden, she turned around to take her dish to the table, and their eyes met.
