Late Night Talking

Bongbong woke up to get water and saw Leni who was still wide awake in deep thoughts. She seems to be bothered by something so he asked her

“Darling, tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours” he said in his tranquilizing yet groggy voice as he caressed her hair

“I'm scared” she said in low voice

“scared of what?” he questioned his voice remaining calm

“Natatakot ako kasi baka hindi ko ma meet ang expectations ng mga tao saakin” Leni said feeling trepidation as she fidgeted her ring.

“Diba you presented na yung gagawin mo in your first 100 days sa office at support naman ng maraming tao sa plans mo?”

Leni nodded “I've commited myself in serving this country pero what if i won't do well in the upcoming months. What if maging overwhelming ang lahat to the point na ayoko n—” He sushed her not making her continue as she started to overthink

“We'll cross the bridge when we get there. Wag mo munang isipin yan ang mahalaga ay may plans ka na for the first 100 days and if ever na magka problema and mahirapan ka nandito lang ako to help you”

She just gave him a tight lipped smile as silence slowly filled the room

Bongbong thought of an idea to lighten up the mood a little bit “What if totoo ang Multiverse?” he asked

“Mahal, Alam mo naman na hindi ako naniniwala dyaan” Leni groaned

“I know naman na hindi ka naniniwala Mahal. Pero just so you know if the Multiverse is real i would choose you in every universe”

Leni was taken aback by his statement and blushed

Even in the darkness with their only source of light being the moon. He can tell that she's blushing which made him grin from ear to ear.

“Mahal” he asked

She hummed in response still blushing and looked at him

“I know na palagi ko tong sinasabi sayo pero kahit araw araw ko pang sabihin ito sayo hinding hindi ako magsasawa” Bongbong cupped her cheeks 

“Mananatiling ikaw ang paksa sa mga isinulat kong tula” and kissed her. It was a reference from Noli Mi Tangere instead of saying mahal pa rin kita. The kiss was slow, comforting and reassuring.

“Just remember i'm always here when you need me. I might not be always present by your side but i'm always here one call away and ready to drop everything when you need me” 

“Thank you Mahal”

“You don't have to thank me kasi i promised that to you didn't i?” he chuckled

“Tumutupad ka pala sa promise. Never akong na informed” she giggled and playfully slapped him across the chest

“Ha? tumutupad naman ako always ah” he pretended to be annoyed

“Parang kailan lang nag promise kang mag be-behave ka sa party anong nangyari?" she laughed

her laughing amidst being nervous made Bongbong happy. Her laughing was theraputic. It's music to his ears.

“Behave naman ako ah! Sisihin mo sarili mo ang ganda mo kasi” he defended

“Ah so ako pa may kasalanan Ferdinand? Ang ibig sabihin lang nyan ay wala kang self control” she squealed

The two of them laughed gleefully. Eventually came to an end when they ran out of breath and decided to sleep since it's early in the morning and both have important matters to deal with later.
