It's been a month since they told the public. Following the announcement of their relationship, it spreaded like wildfire. People gave their support while some not so much but it didn't bother them since it was expected.
“Naalala nyo pa ba noong sinabi ni Ate Leni publicly na sila Sila ni Kuya? Grabe! Kayo yung usap usapan ng tao sa Pilipinas kahit saan ka pumunta. Para kayong Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn ng Pinas” Aimee jested
“I agree Dear, Sister” Imee butted in
“May pa dear sister ka pa dyan kala mo naman ang bait bait mo” Irene scoffed
“Ang bait ko kaya! Diba Bongets?” Imee defended
“Wow ha, Galing mismo sa taong nanghabol saakin ng itak” Bongbong rebutted
“Ma, oh yung mga anak mo pinag tutulungan ako” Imee whined
“Tama na Imee, parehas kayo ni Bato cry baby din. Osya Magpahinga na kayo medyo late na. Maaga pa tayo para bukas fresh na fresh kayo at hindi magmukhang lantang gulay” Imelda uttered
“Ayan ha si Mom na mismong nagsabi Bongets maaga daw magpahinga hindi ano pang ginagawa” Irene stated
Leni was just quietly listening to them laughing from time to time with their bardagulan but when she heard Irene's remark her cheeks turned red due to embarrassment and buried her face into her hands, meanwhile the other siblings bursted out laughing. After sometime they all stood up from their seats and said their Goodnights and went to their rooms.
It's now two in the morning but both of them are still wide awake as they stare at the dark ceiling above.
“Darling, still can't sleep?” he asked
“Yup” she replied
“If that's the case pwede ba natin pag usapan ang future natin or anything since hindi naman tayo makakatulog pampalipas lang oras what do you think?”
She hummed in response
“Okay so...Do you want kids?” she started
“Why not, sino ba namang hindi may gusto ng mini me or mini you or mini us, pero it's still your decision if how many or if you want kasi at the end of the day it's your body and your choice, if ayaw mo man well wala akong magagawa kung hindi just to support you”
Leni couldn't surpress her smile and muttered “God, Marcos what did i do to deserve you”
“I guess dahil sa sobrang bait mo you forgave me kahit na sinisiraan kita dati kaya ayan nandito ako sa tabi mo ngayon” he reminisced
“Hindi ko pa ata ito nasabi sayo ito pero i met Martin noong medyo hindi mo nako sinisiraan and all. Tapos out of the blue binanggit nya na patay na patay ka daw saakin, sabi ko naman sakanya Kalmahan mo lang mga sistz ako lang to”
Both of them bursted out laughing at her remarks and not long after the laughter died down she asked
“Curious lang ako kung anong vows mo sa wedding natin baka kasi masyado mong ginalingan at wala nang kasalanan ang magaganap iyakan nalang” she half jokingly said
“Well speaking of vows actually meron na. The day before i proposed i've completed it. It's not that long and such but i think it has a great meaning. At dahil malakas ka saakin do you want to hear it kahit hindi pa natin kasal?”
She squeezed his hand signaling to continue. “Here goes something” He took deep breath and began
“My vows won't consist of promises because actions speak louder than words however the only thing i can't guarantee is ang kulay rosas na bukas. I can't promise you a world through rose colored lenses for the future is uncertain but rest assure that when things get tough I'll be here right by your side ready to face it with you. I've said countless times how i love you pero hindi ako magsasawang piliin ka sa araw-araw”
She couldn't help but get teary eyed on what he said. It was perfect. She liked how he gave it a more personal touch to it by including one of her trademark that she tells at her rallies.
He can hear stifles, amidst the dark he carefully wiped the corner of her eyes and tried to calm her down. Now getting worried if he had said something that made shed tears he asked
“Did i say something wrong?”
Leni looked up to him and said “Quite the opposite actually. It's perfect”
Bongbong smiled feeling as he felt relieved.
They continued talking about life and such. Not noticing the time that it's early in the morning as the sun shone.
