Percy's POV
----------------

I held my mothers hand as we enterd the classroom, it was noisy of course, I mean, it is the first day of school. I'm scared. I thought, too many new people to meet, to many things to learn...school in general is quite nerve wrecking, to most people. I tightened my grip on my moms hand wiping knowing.

"Percy," I heard her say in a soft voice, I looked up, "you don't have to be afraid Percy, you're a big strong boy and I'm so proud of you." She smiled sweetly, as mothers do.

Hearing that made me feel better and we walked beyond the threshold into the bustling classroom. I began to take notice of all the children in there, noting what they looked like. As I scanned the classroom I made eye contact with girl, she had dark silky hair and was wearing a yellow dress. She was definitely older than me but I knew she was still young. There was a little tuff of brown hair behind her, it belonged to a small boy who was clutching to her skirt, they both looked alike. siblings. The girl was smiling and she skipped up to me, her wavy pigtails bounces as she did.

"Hello! I'm Bianca!" Bianca grinned widely then pointed t the small boy, "that's my little brother Neeks! But his real name is Nico! He thinks you have really pretty eyes but he's too shy to say it!" She laughed.

Nico had walked up behind her and grabbed onto her dress again, burning his face into it this time. My mother knelt down on her knee to speak to the siblings,

"Hello there Bianca and Nico, I'm Sally." She smiled at them and Bianca smiled back, Nico was still hiding his face. My mom stood up and went to talk to some other moms. When she left I looked back the boy,

"Hi Nico, I'm Percy." I said tilting my head as to get a view of Nico's face. He put his head but briefly then buried it back Ito his sisters dress in record time.

Bianca pulled her brother in front of her, he stub led a bit but soon regained his balance. Bianca flattened out her dress then took a step closer me, bring Nico with her. "Nico say hi!" She nudged him.

Nico took a breath and looked up at my slowly, "h-hi..." his voice was small but still eligible. I smiled at him and he blushed in return.

A little bell rang bringing everyone's attention to the front of the classroom where our new 1st grade teacher stood. She clasped her hands together and said, "Alright it's time for the parent to go to work and for us to start our first day together!" She smiled happily, making me happy. Funny how much a smile can do. My mother kissed me goodbye and left. I watched as Nico's mother kissed his head and took Bianca's hand as they both exited.

We were put into table groups of five, each table group had a specific color to it. I was seated at the blue table group between two girls, one with brown hair and an angry look who I soon learned to be Clarisse, and one with curly blonde hair and pretty grey eyes who I found out to be Annabeth. On either side of the girls was a little Hispanic boy with dirt on his nose named Leo, and then shy little Nico.

To sum things up in class today, Leo was drawing the whole time, Clarisse was complaining about it, Annabeth was reading, and Nico just sat quietly and listened to the teacher. I didn't know what it was about Nico di Angelo that I found utterly interesting, and I still don't have a clue...but whatever it is, I like it.
