I wake up to the bright sunlight shining through a gap in my curtains, I groan and roll over to block the light, about to drift back off to sleep until I hear my mother's voice from the bottom of the stairs call out to me.
"Y/N get up! You don't want to miss the festival do you?"
Its true that I didn't want to miss any of it, but I could have done with a couple more hours of sleep. It was hard to get to sleep last night with how excited I was about this.
I groan and lift my legs to pull myself up from my bed, sitting up I crawl over to my window pulling the curtain back a tad to see it was a hot sunny day, I smile and jump out of bed. After getting dressed in my new UA uniform I look in the mirror with a smile on my face taking in how I looked in it. I ran down the stairs and grabbed a slice of toast off the table in the kitchen grabbing my backpack and heading for the door.
"Ahem" my mothers voice stopped me in my tracks, I slowly look over my shoulder to see her behind me with her arms crossed in front of her. "Turn" I smile and turn around holding my arms out with the toast hanging out of my mouth, She then giggled and waved her hand for me to go. "Have fun" She said as I slipped my shoes on. "I will. Love you. Bye!" I say quickly as I rush out the doors and run down the drive way to meet my best friend Kimiko who was just pulling up outside the big gold gates. I enter the code and jog on the spot waiting for them to open, I was too excited to wait for them to open fully so I squeeze through and run to her car opening the door and sitting beside her, She turns her radio down and looks at me.
"You ready for this girl?" She smiles wide as she already knew the answer.
"Hell yeah! Lets go!" I respond to her and she pulls off driving down the road.
