She walked through the streets of Camelot and smiled, many people backed away from her but who wouldn't? She had five Direwolves surrounding here, even the guards moved back in fear as she climbed the steps of the castle. The Court Sorcerer, Merlin, shook his head, "You're father is not going to be happy with this." She chuckled, "He can learn that I'm not a child anymore, beside you know I prefer animals over people." "EVELYN ROSALINA PENDRAGON!" Was heard through the walls of the castle as her Father, King Arthur Pendragon, stormed down the hall. He pulled her into a hug, "Don't you ever scare me like that again!" "I'm sorry Father but they were in trouble and I couldn't leave them." She glanced at the five Direwolves. Arthur let out a sigh, he knew he would end up regretting but what was new at this point? "I'll have the sevrvents create a spot for them in your room." Evelyn smiled as she ran off with the Direwolves following behind her, "Thanks Father, I'll see you later! Bye Merlin!"
Arthur flopped down on his bed and groaned, "What am I going to do with her?" "She reminds me of you when you were her age and full of adventure," Merlin commented, "And she has Gwen's kindness and love."
Gwen died during childbirth but it wasn't because of magic, it was because she lost a lot of blood and had fallen ill a few days before. Arthur won't even be in the same room as his daughter until Merlin force him and he soon learned to love his child.
Arthur looked at Merlin, "Do you think Evelyn would be upset if I found someone new?" "As long as it's not a troll," Merlin snorted at the memory of Uther marrying a troll, "I'm think she would but she'll learn to understand in time." Arthur sat up and looked at him, "And if it was you I chosen?" Merlin was about to make a smart comment when he realized that Arthur was serious, "Y-you mean you want me to be with you?" Arthur stood up and moved closer to Merlin, he rested his forehead against his, "I want that more than anything else, please Merlin will you be mine and Camelot's King?" Merlin smiled and laughed through the tears, "Took you long enough, you prat!" Arthur closed the gap between them and smiled as Merlin kissed back, "I think we should tell Evelyn."
Evelyn smiled as the Direwolves slept while surrounding her bed, her door opened and a servant peeked in, "Your father wishes to see you in the throne room." Once Evelyn got up the Direwolves followed her to the throne room, "You wanted to see me, Father?" Arthur took a deep breath before speaking, "How angry would you be with me if I told you, I found someone new?" "Well I'd be pretty pissed because they weren't Merlin," She stated. Arthur was a taken back for a moment, "You mean to tell me that, you would accept me being with Merlin but no one else?" "Father, I see you look at him and the way he looks at you, bloody hell even a blind could see it and the knights are making bets when you two will get together," Evelyn told him, "Look you have the same smile when you're with him that you do when you tell me about my Mother, hell Merlin is like second Dad to me and if you want to be with him I accept it because he makes you happy." Arthur stood up from his throne and hugged his daughter, "You don't know how much it means to me to hear you say that." "I think you mean us," Merlin walked with the knights, he hugged her, "Thank you." Evelyn smirked while looking at the knights, "Well boys, pay up!" The Knights handed her the money, while Arthur and Merlin rolled their eyes.
