Loosing her

Sorry y'all who actually read this for not updating in such a long time like I said I suck at updating stories ... also this is going to be short and I havn't completed editing it yet but I thought I would publish it anyway ... please forgive me !

"...And I think" Petra ended her letter, "that I still love you and the thought that came to me at my final breath was just that" As the quilt tip left the page and she stared at her own words a tear trickling down her pale cheek.

"I don't want to die," she whispered not sure of why she was writing such letters lately, she just had a bad feeling about this mission. A pile of other completed letters to her family and friends sat in her top desk drawer . This was her last one... adressed to Levi.

Suddenly three swift knocks resounded on the wooden door that opened to her room. In response she quickly whiped away her tears and asked " Who is it?"

"Its me," Levi's voice replied from outside the door.

Hearing Levi's voice she blushed considering the letter she just wrote and stuffed it in the top drawer at her desk planning to prepare it later.

After getting up from her desk and opening the door for Levi she asked with a kind tone, " Is it already time to leave ?"

"No," Levi responded his gaze shifting from the door to looking into her eyes, " I just wanted to make sure you will be making it down to breakfast... you will need the energy."

" Yes I guesss I will. In that case, I will be down in a few minutes," she replied with a smile radiating in her golden eyes .

" I'm glad to hear that," the Jewish man said with a glimor of light in his eyes that hadn't appeared since Petra's confession a few weeks ago.

Suprised Petra stood there not sure what to do with herself as Levi turned and walked down the hall.

A twinge of guilt filled his mind as he thought about their mission ' Their is no way it's her,' he thought, ' but I can't allow myself to love her just yet, incase it is.'

Ok so this next part is just a recap of the female titan arc so none of the story belongs to me and we'll it's boring and non descriptive but gives you a general idea of what happens btw spoilers alert!

"Let the 57th expedition outside the wall begin!" Erwin shouted as the gate arose and the soldiers kicked their horses to a starting gallop. Everyone seemed to be nervous and exited as they passed through the gate and into the unknown world of outside the walls. Broken down buildings and houses surrounded them as they continued on their way a few Titans crossing their path here and there.

But after hours of bloody mascre brought on by the female titan the soldiers moods weakened and turned from ones of exitement and hope to terror and despair. As they aproched the forest some questioned exactly what they were doing being comanded to climb up in the trees and await further instruction.

Now inside the forest, Levi and his squad galloped at high speeds. Sadly it was not fast enough to escape there unavoidable enemy, the female titan. As Eren raised his hand to his mouth, teeth bared, Petra cried out , " No ! Eren , don't you trust us ?!" Eren, in pausing and eventually complying, allowed for the female titan to be safely captured.

But then things all went wrong when the unexpected happened. The female titan sacrificed her life for her identity , or so it seemed.

The mission was called off and everyone started to head back as Levi stayed seperate from his squad. But, figured out to late by Erwin ' s calculations, the female inside the titan body had not died but in fact was alive and at the oportune moment, transformed back into a titan.

After the mission was over and they walked into the city without bodies people's hopes were dashed to pieces and humanity suffered yet another overarching defeat by the humanoid creatures. Not even the best of the best had survived.

Flashes of red blood splattering the trees and the ground, horrific sight of body parts of fallen soldiers lieing on the ground, all this flashed through Levi's mind as he lie in bed staring at the dark cieling looming above him. Eventually he drifted off but this was not a relief. Instead he was only met by his horific nightmares.

Hange walked down the hall deep in thought about the female titan and such but also concerned about Levi. Suddenly she remembered what Erwin had said, "Go ask Levi about the papers I sent to him and then you can also ask him about Yaeger."

'Alright let's go do thy before I forget again' Hange thought stopping jn the hallway and turning on her heals. She headed towards his room pasing many plane brown doors. Most of them had to be empty now since that expedition. 'So many soldiers never returning to these beds ever again' she thought with a shiver as she passed by one open door the room clearly stripped and prepared for whatever dumb cadet would dare to join the scouts.

Finally reaching his room she streched her hand out to knock on the for but was interupted when she herd moans and whimpering coming from his room. She, concerned, burst into the room to find him tossing and turning in his bed ' asleep already ?' She thought but then paying closer attention she realized his body and bed were covered in sweat and he was now crying , " Petra ! I killed them all, no no ... No!" "Levi!" Hange exclaimed try ik ng to wake him up but it wouldn't work with such a quiet exclamation. Then she desided not to wake him but instead she came over to him and stroked his scrunched up sweaty face. " Shhhhh shhhhh" she whispered as she whiped his forhead with a handkerchief she found on his bedside table. Slowly he went from crying to moaning and then only muttering , " Petra, Petra , I'm sorry , Petra." His words echoed across the room acting as daggers that stabbed jnto Hange. A tear slipped down her face as she looked at him, " Why her ?" She whispered, "when will you see me ?"
