It was about time for me to go to work and Eddie was still awake. "You didn't sleep huh?" I ask him. He shakes his head 'no' not even turning around to look at me. "Do you want me to stay? I could call sick from work. Try and help you sleep or something." I state. He thinks for a minute. "No I think I need to be alone for a while but thanks..." He finally turns around and looks at me.Saying his words slow. I kiss him then I change and ask him one more time if he wants me to stay. He tells me no and thanks me.
About halfway into my shift Dustin and Max just barge in. "Hey Steve. How many phones do you have?" Dustin asks him while leaning on the counter both hands on it. "Someone was murdered." Steve tells him. "How many phones do you have? Dustin repeats himself. "Two why?" Steve asks. "Actually three." I butt in. "If you count Keith's. In the back." Robin tells him. "Yeah, three works." Max says and Dustin takes off his backpack. "What are you doing?" Steve asks him but is ignored. Then Dustin slides his backpack at Robin. He jumps on the table knocking down Steve's tapes. "No, no, no! My tapes! Dude. What are you doing, man?" Steve asks again. Dustin finally answers "Setting up base of operations here." "Base of operations? For what?" I ask him. "Need to look up Eddie's friend's phone numbers." Dustin answers and is on the computer looking up something. "Seriously, you guys, maybe on a Monday you can run around like toddlers, but it's Saturday." Robin tells them. "Saturday is like the busiest days of the week!" I tell them but me and Robin both get ignored. "Guys, I empathize, but this cannot wait until Monday." Dustin tells us. "And why is calling all of Eddie's friends an emergency?" I ask. "Max fill them in while I am doing this." Dustin tells Max without taking his eyes off the computer. "Do you guys want to strangle him or can I do the honors?" Steve asks me and Robin with one arm on the table. I chuckle "We could take turns." Robin answers with a smile on her face. Max explains everything to us and I'm in shock but I have to tell them or else they are going to find out themselves and get fairly pissed at me. "Save your breath kid." I tell them. Dustin turns around in the chair slowly. "You know where he might be?" He asks. "Yeah." I answer debating if I should tell them. " What?! Where?" Max asks a little bit of anger in her tone for me not saying something sooner. "He- he's at my apartment." I tell them. "Why is he there? And why the hell didn't you say anything?!" Steve asks in a angry tone. "Look let me explain-" I was going to explain when everyone cut me off. "EXPLAIN!" They all yelled. I tell them everything. Chrissy. Eddie. How me and him have been going out. What happened. Everyone immediately gets out the store closes it and gets in the car.
When we get there I open the door slowly. "Eddie?!" I call out. I see that he is still in my room. "Hey have you gotten anything to eat?" I ask he shacks his head 'no'. I lead him to the kitchen then he notices that everyone is sitting on my couch waiting. Eddie grabs a knife and points it at them trembling. "Eddie stop. Just calm down okay? It's Dustin you know him. And Robin from band. That's Steve I've talked about him before. And- and Max she used to date Lucas. They aren't going to hurt you I promise they just want to talk. Please just trust me. If I didn't trust them they wouldn't be here if I didn't trust them." I reassure him. I slowly get the knife and put it back in the drawer. He whispers in my ear. " You told them about us?" there was a pause. "Yeah." I answer. Next thing I know I'm getting punched in the face. " Jesus Christ Eddie!" Dustin yells. " WHAT THE FUCK WHERE YOU THINKING!?" Eddie yells. "We have bigger things to worry about then people knowing your gay!" I tell him getting another hit in the process. "Enough with the hitting! I'm sorry okay? There's nothing you can do about it now." I tell him. He is breathing hard but seems to have calmed down. Once I clean all the blood out of my mouth and sit down. Dustin explains what I couldn't the night before. Then Eddie and Dustin come to the realization about Vecna's curse.
