Chapter 9: Pulling Through

Raven POV

I snuck out of the Ravenclaw Common Room with Uri when everyone went to bed. "Now Uri, if we see Mrs. Norris I need you to chase her off. Understand?" I whispered kneeling down talking to my cat. She just gave a faint meow. "I'll take that as a yes." I said as we made our way to the Gryffindor Dorms.

When I got there I saw the painting open, but saw no one exit it. They were clearly under the invisibility cloak as I was pulled and dragged under it. Uri made her way under as well. "Hey guys."

"How do you sneak around without getting caught?" Ron asked.

"Constant Vigilance!" I said. 

"What?" They all three questioned.

"You wouldn't get it." I said with a sigh. "Anyway, let's go." I said and we started making our way to Fluffy. They told me how Hermione had to stun Neville to get through. Pretty cool, but poor Neville.

"Oh no, it's Mrs. Norris." Hermione said as we were close to reaching the third floor. On queue Uri ran our from under the cloak and started chasing Mrs. Norris away.

"Good girl Uri." I praised as we continued making our way to Fluffy.

"Who goes there? I can't see you but I know you're there." We stopped and saw it was Peeves. "Are you ghoulie or ghostie or wee student beastie? You can't hide forever."

"The Bloody Baron has his own reason for being invisible." I said in a hoarse whisper.

"Oh do forgive me Blood Baron. I'll get out of your way." Peeves said and glided away in a hurry.

"Nice thinking Raven." Harry complimented. We made our way to Fluffy's door.

"Alohamora!" Hermione cast unlocking the door. We went inside and Fluffy was already asleep. It breathed the cloak off of us. "Snape's already been here, look." She pointed to the harp that had been enchanted to continuously play.

"C'mon let's move its paw." Harry said and Ron was hesitant to do so. Harry, Hermione and I slowly moved it paw while struggling a bit.

"Thanks for the help Ron." I whispered to Ron who was just standing there. We opened the trap door and all looked inside. It was dark. "Whelp ladies first." I said as I jumped down. "It's clear." I said up to them. All I heard was screaming as the all three plopped down on what I was in. "What, did you wake Fluffy?" I asked tauntingly.

"Yeah, and he almost bit our head off." Ron said still shaking. "What is this stuff anyways?" He asked.

"Stop moving, this is Devil's Snare. You need to relax, it'll only kill you faster." Hermione explained.

"Oh now I can relax." Ron said as he moved and panicked more. Hermione then slipped under as I did cause I was pretty relaxed.

"HERMIONE, RAVEN!" Harry and Ron yelled. I managed to land on my feet and Hermione fell down.

"You okay?" I asked helping her up.

Yeah, thanks." She said. "Guys we're okay, you need to relax." She told them. Harry soon fell through and fell over too. I helped him up.

"Thanks." He said. I gave him a nod and smiled.

"He's not relaxing." Hermione said worried. "There was something I read in Herbology about Devil's Snare. What was it?" She asked herself. "Devil's Snare, Devil's Snare. It's deadly fun... but will sulk in the sun! That's it! Devil's Snare hates sunlight! Lumos Solem!" She cast on the Devil's Snare causing Ron to fall through screaming his brains out.
