Chapter 2

"Now..if I don't die by the hands of these people, I'll surely be killed by him," was all Luffy heard and needed to hear to get on guard.

With the injuries sustained previously by the war, forcing himself to wake up wasn't exactly a good idea.

"Ow, ow, ow, my head hurts," he cried out, clutching his head in pain. Now with his eyes fully open, he propped himself up. The room was partially lit, making seeing things more difficult. First thing he noticed was his treasured straw hat lying on the ground beside him, he quickly placed it back in its rightful place; his head.

The young man looked around a bit and spotted a few familiar faces, which ignited a joyful smile upon his face. A few people weren't clear enough for him to see and a few new faces met his eyes.

But wait.."where....WHERE AM I?!" he screamed out in confusion, finally realizing the situation he is in. This caused a chained reaction to occur, eyes opened after eyes.

"Huh?...huh!? Why...... how... am I alive..and...where am I?" the freckled adult mumbled before examining his surroundings. Turning around he saw his younger- chaotic brother; Monkey D. Luffy, full on running towards him.

Ignoring the awakening people, Luffy got up and slowly walked around, to the left he spotted a shadow that resembled his brother's appearance. Picking up the pace, a hopeful Luffy hurried over to see if the person was actually his brother. The male was shirtless, wore black pants, had black hair, and had the signature orange cowboy hat laying besides him, yeah, no doubt about it, it was him. Tearing up, Luffy scuttle towards his brother's unmoving form.

Despite the injuries that screamed in agony with every step, he couldn't stop himself from darting in his brother's direction, only darting faster when his brother's body slightly twitched.

"Ace!!... you're alive!! ......I thought..you," Luffy softly said on his knees before shedding an unfathomable amount of tears. "I'm so sorry Luffy, I really am," Ace said, trying his best to comfort his cute little brother. "Are you in pain, Luffy? Do you know where we are?" the older brother questioned, while stroking the younger male's back.

"No, nothing hurts. I don't know either, it's so dark in here," the youngest ASL member answered, unable to deter his eyes from the ever so noticeable, gut-wrenching scar that adorns his elder brother's torso.

While on the other side of the room, a certain pirate crew is sitting down and discussing the situation.

"Please tell me we're not dead,"a long-nosed male frighteningly comments.

"Isn't it quite peculiar that we aren't in any affliction at the moment?" a black-haired girl probed.

"Indeed, Yohohoho."

"Heukkk! Usopp, don't say such things," a blue-nosed animal remarks, fearing for his life.

"Fufufu."

"Where's captain?" the green-haired swordsman asked.

"NAMI-SAWNN, ROBIN-CHANN, I SHALL PROTECT THE BOTH OF YOU~"

"Tch. Stupid, pervy cook."

"What did you say?!"

"QUIET, THE BOTH OF YOU!" a money loving lady bitterly yells.
