Chapter 2

[Name] walked inside the store and was met with the familiar sight of Jim Hopper, the towns Police Chief, "Hello Chief." [Name] waved as he stood in front of the tall man.

"Hey Kid, I see your back, you causing trouble lately?" Jim asked the boy, he was quite used to the boy that stood in front of him who once reminded him of his own kid, he glanced down to the boys wrist and faintly see a tattoo of numbers.

Jim looked at the boys face and softened at the smiling face he was being given, "Well..not yet. I'm here to get cookies and chips!" the boy exclaims as he passes by the Police chief to look through the stores aisles, to look at the various choices.

"Can't have your chef bake you cookies? Or maybe have your Mom order you some?" Jim asked as he walked over to the stores freezers and opened the door to pick out a few boxes of eggo waffles.

"I like abusing the fact I can go out if I ask to." [Name] picks out some barbecue chips and some cookies, before picking out another variety of cookies and chips before walking over to the cashier and handing the cashier their things and money.

Jim hummed as he stood behind the 12 year old boy, when the cashier was handing [Name] his change Jim had clearly seen the engraved numbers '005' on [Name's] left wrist, reminding Jim of the same one that the girl he is keeping safe from everyone has.

"So your Mom let you have a tattoo?" Jim casually asks as he walks side by side with the child, "Oh, I thought it was cool, so I used a pen to draw it." [Name] lied smoothly, good thing the two had different paths to go to so [Name] bid Jim goodbye and walked to a nearby park and ate his cookies there, not wanting to eat it all in one sitting since he forgot to bring a drink with him.

[Name] happily ate his cookies when he spotted a red headed girl skateboarding around the park, [Name] only hummed and noted that Hawkins had new people inside so [Name] found it that he welcomed the girl and thought it would be nice to introduce himself.

[Name] approached the girl with a smile and stood there, "You must be new around here, I'm [Name] Hale. It's nice to meet you. " [Name] said as he clasped his hands together in front of him to fiddle with his fingers, "Uh.. Hi. " The girl says before looking down to her skateboard.

"Max Mayfield. " She simply says before getting ready to leave the boy she just met, "That's a really cool name, say can you make skateboard tricks?" [Name] smiled as he pointed at her skateboard.

"Oh. Not yet, but I can go really fast. " She said which fascinated him even more, [Name] has seen a bunch of kids using their skateboards here and there but he never found it interesting until now.

"Woah! Really? Can you show me? " [Name] asked as he tilted his head, "I'll you give you some of my cookies and chips for it." [Name] offered which made Max contemplate it first before agreeing, skating in circles around the boy as he clapped in amazement.

"Here." [Name] digs around his plastic bag and hands Max a packet of cookies and a bag of chips, their hands slightly touching when he handed it to her, "Thanks, but I better go now. My Brother must be pissed at me for being late. " Max says as she holds her skateboard in one hand and the food in the other.

"Well I hope we meet again considering how small this town is, Max Mayfield. "

Max turns around  but finds that the boy she was talking to earlier was now gone.

[Name] was in his room reading a murder mystery book when his walkie talkie cracked to life with the voices of his friends, "Lucas do you copy? What's your haul? I've got 4 quarters?" Dustins voice asked in the walkie talkie.

[Name] shifted in his bed and grabbed his walkie talkie and places it near him before he went back to reading his book, "Take your puny haul and multiply it by five." Lucas declared proudly, if [Name] was there with him he could obviously hear his proud thoughts by having more quarters than Dustin.
